Alcohol
i read on the lap band site that you shouldnt really drink alcohol cause of calories and fat content in some and the yeast content too but they say a small glass of wine would be ok

Sodium in all my liquids . . .
try to get soups with low sodium seeing is how low sodium can retain water. but i dont really see much of a difference with it since even though you make a cup you dont always finish a cup. i used wylers bullion cubes instead of the campbells soup. that way i didnt have to worry about taking out the chunks during my liquid phase. im now on pureed/mushy phase . and i can barely eat a half of cup and im satisfied. but i love it cause before i never knew when to stop.

What made you do it?
what made me do it is merely for health reasons i have been over weight my entire life and now that im older and the profession i work in back pain and and from family history of diabetes stroke and so forth i didnt want that. so i researched it for 4 years into weight loss surgery. i finally got and insurace to pay for it. i did it. the only perks that i really love with the outcome this is i can wear normal clothes again.

one month out and having some nausea
probably from all the sugar in the candy. its good to back on the diet to see if the nausea subsides if it dont i would call your doctor she might prescribe phenergan. If ya need that candy every once in a while for a quick fix they do make sugar free candies carry some with you see if that is anybetter usually at candy stores that make the candy homemade make sugar free stuff. gl i hope things work out well

Satiety-- after the pouch..
every one is different but you should feel full once your done eating. you also have to have a little willpower to know you only can eat 3 times a day. if you feel you need a snack make sure it is sugar free and fat free. but when i eat i usually feel full until my next meal.

I need your advice ASAP!!!
i know this sucks but you need to drive in thier and straighten it out if you do it by phone you wont get no where. things will work out and good luck youll love it when you get it done

I don't know how you do it.....I tried
not it dont cause sliming i just started on my mushy stage today and i chewed until i couldnt chew now more then swollowed and had no problems. as far as drinking. they say not to do that because if you drink while eating the liquid makes you fuller which then you dont finish the food that you need to eat to get in your protiens and nutrients you need in daily.

I'm so pissed
i know exactly how you felt i went throught the same thing. i was referred to my surgeon from my pcp so i went to my surgeon for my 6 month of weight checks. then when everything was submitted my insurance company said they needed weight checks from my pcp and then a letter of recommendation from my doctor and i was like but i did the weight checks at my surgeons office. i was irritated by then thinking all this work and then to do another 6 months with my pcp for weight checks. thank god they just accepted from the surgeons and i faxed them a letter of recommendation. i started my journey in january by the time the insurance co approved me and was able to get a surgery date it was december 12,2007 even though i shoulda had it sooner it was well worth the weight.

help with husband
what it is is hes afraid that if you lose the weight hell lose that control over you when it comes to maybe other men being attracted to you. and hes afraid that if you do it youll leave him for someone better. my old man did the same thing. i still went thru with it though whether it made him happy or not cause i was doing it not for that reason but for my health. hes a man. what do you expect hell get over it once he sees the results of it later on down the road. and when he sees your happy and healthy . hell accept it more. but hell eventually accept it. just tell him accept what i am doing or dont but im still doing it. dont let him be in control of you!

How long have you had your band and are you still happy?
i have been banded for 10 days now and i love it i have noticed with my 29 pound loss i have more energy and i eat way less but it fills me up. there is always risks to any surgery you have. but if you dont take that chance youll never know if you will succeed. sometimes problems with some people that have band problems is maybe if there eating right or not following doctors orders. gl i hope your band does you well.

BCBS 6 month required diet-need advice
i have himark bc/bs and there idea of a supervised diet is not to have to go somewhere like weight watchers. you do it on your own and then you have the 6 months worth of weight checks with your doctor. your doctor is the one supervising you. .. i honestly didnt adhere to the diet thing i was afraid that the insurance wouldnt approve me if i lost. but yet i never gain stayed at the same weight i think i might have lost a pound the whole six months. hope this helped. i also dont have a problem losing its keeping it off and usually when i lose i alway gain and then some.l hope this help

What to expect after 2 Days Of Banding
hi my name is shelly. i had my banding done on 12/12/07. I had pain up until about my 5th day. then it pretty much subsided. except where i have my staples if i move a certain way it pulls and its annoying more than painful. and my belly itches from where the staples are thank god i get them out next week. but bear with it . it will stop i assure you. im 10 days post op i started my pureed/mushy stage today thank god it was getting old doing liquids. and make sure you start drinking your protien drinks. ive lost 29 pounds so far and i started low cardio aerobics on day 7 about 10 minutes to start i dont wanna just jump into a 30 minute work out. i figured next week i would start 20 minutes. but gl hope things go good for you.

it maybe a little of that but the gurgling is mosty gas from the anestetia. you should still be doing the liquid stage. i had the same thing happen to day.
