  1. @@More than this so maybe after like the 4th date I should ask her to marry me? hahahaha...Oh I see what you are saying, yeah that is way too fast and too much for someone to do.

Prior to surgery I would eat out a lot and not give it a second thought on how much I spent. The other day at work I decided I wanted a Gyro so I told my friend that I would buy for the both of us. Each meal was $10.95 each plus tax and $6.00 delivery, total was something around $30. I took two bites before I started to feel full. that is when it hit me, I realized I used to spend a lot of money on food! I was telling my friend that when she said "I told you we should have split one meal". Crap had I heard that I could have saved money! So now we decided to be food buddies, we will split meals since we both don't eat much. haha. Anyone find a food buddy?
  3. @@provenzee that's horrible that you have been treated like that. A lot of guys give the rest of us a bad rep. You're right the dating world does revolve around weight. Even those who say it doesn't matter are really not being true to what they say. Beauty fades, weight fluctuates but the heart is the only thing that is true. If you can see someone for who they really are it shouldn't matter.
  4. Happens to me all the time now, only thing that seems to make me feel full is red meat. But eating that feels like a brick in my stomach.
  5. Thanks for the encouragement everyone, just got to work on me.
  6. @@laguerr13 thanks for the advice and yes it made me laugh! lol but yeah I see what you are saying.
  7. Thanks everyone, yeah I need to get out and be more active. I have more energy now and getting out and being social is a goal.
  8. This year is a year of change for me. I got sleeved in February and lost over 100lbs so far. I am feeling better and can do things I couldn't do for years. With that said, sadly I am feeling very lonely still. My birthday is coming up next month and I will be 39 and alone. Another year that way and it sucks. Hopefully as I keep losing and things get better, my situation will change. It would just be nice to find someone to share this life with.
  9. I'm almost 6 months post op and I have a hard time with meats still. I tend to eat more soft foods still but I can take some bites of meat but it makes me feel like I have bricks in my stomach.
  10. It's still hard to navigate. I don't ever see anyone on it.
  11. I've lost 100 so far, and it has been about 2 pounds a week that I noticed. I haven't had any stalls yet but I hear that they happen depending on the person. You had surgery not too long ago so you are doing great!
  12. I'm in Las Vegas now, Used to live in Big Bear. I had VSG on Feb 9th of this year.
  13. Congrats on surgery! Unfortunately I'm not from SoCal anymore.
  14. My job seems to have an increase of doughnut days lol, I have been doing good with just having cottage cheese instead though. It gets easier!
  15. Congrats on the weight loss!
  16. I had mine on Feb 9th!
  17. Feb 9th was my Sleeve day!

Okay I get it that there is a ranking on how many posts you make/reply to and the more you do the higher the ranking....but I don't like being called a Senior Member..I'm only going to be 39! lol
  19. Don't be hard on yourself, we all do that although some will not admit it. I really wanted frozen custard the other day and I gave in and picked up some. I could only take a couple of bites before it made me feel sick. I know now that it isn't worth the feeling I get after having it. Lesson learned.
  20. You could paint the fence and then wax the floor...when you are done you will be a karate expert!
  21. Hell I'd just like a date with a nice 4-5 right now. lol
  22. @@hbugg yeah I thought about putting it in my profile saying that I recently made a healthier change in my life and stuff like that but I don't know how that would come across.
  23. @@pleasecoffee what part of NorCal? I'm originally from Stockton and have lived in Santa Rosa. I miss Cali
