  1. @@Bari I just seen this in another post you made, thanks again for the info!
  2. Heck I might have to check that out.
  3. @@hbugg This was something I was debating when wanting to get back into dating. I think it would be great to find someone who is going through the same thing as I am. I am on one dating site but I haven't been active on it because I don't really know how I would talk about WLS.
  4. whenever you feel like it! lol, as soon as you can tolerate it. I only eat part of the shell...kinda like eating the taco upside down.
  5. My family and friends are very supportive but I did question myself. At times I would think I am taking the easy way out of losing weight but now after my surgery I can say it is no easy way. Having to adjust your eating/drinking habits is a lot to deal with. Especially if your socialization revolves around going out to eat and drinking. But I am happy with my choice.

Thank you all! I am very happy to have hit 100 and can't wait until I get to two!

@ I keep my calorie intake low that's about it. Maintain enough water and protein. I eat a lot of yogurt and cottage cheese for protein as meats tend to be very heavy on my stomach.
  8. Weighed in today and I am finally in the 100 club! 101lbs lost since my VSG on Feb 9th. I have had a hard time with what foods I can eat and tolerate but now I feel comfortable with eating and know my limitations.
  9. It's not just men that are shallow, women are that way too. That comment from a coworker even if it was to be a compliment was not what someone should say to another person. As an overweight man I run into the same issue. I am always the "friend" and never good enough to be the "boyfriend". Maybe this will change when I get to goal, maybe not. Only time will tell.
  10. I started eating solids at 4 weeks. My doctor said two weeks on liquids then two on soft foods then regular food was okay.
  11. I snack, quest bars and quest chips or cheese. I don't have a problem with losing right now with snacking. I'm five months out and still losing.
  12. Here is a link to the ones I use http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/twinlab-bariatric-support-chewable-multi-60-chewable-tablets/tl-1514#.VagxKaRVhBc
  13. I like the bariatic Multivitamin that I got from the Vitamin store. It actually tastes okay. It is Twinlab Bariatric Support Chewable Multi: berry flavor.
  14. @@Cunninglinguist Thank you for your positive message. Don't pay any attention to these idiots who don't know what your screen name means. Come on we are all adults and if you can't understand what it means then maybe you shouldn't comment.
  15. hahaha I like this! It is very confusing at times when you compare what one doctor says to another.
  16. @@Babbs is right you can drink but not very much and depending on what it is. I tried cranberry and vodka and couldn't do it because it was too sweet. Then I tried a beer and one sip filled my stomach with air. Tried a shot of makers mark....oh boy that was horrible! I felt the burn all the way inside. lol but yeah you can drink, not much but you can if you find the right drink for you. I'm still trying to find mine.
  17. we can't eat corn? I have no problem eating corn. Don't tell my sleeve!
  18. Same here, get them all the time.

@@ShrinkingPeach I forgot about the steering wheel! yes it feels great to not feel that scrap each time you turn the wheel. lol
  20. Daveo replied to no onions's topic in The Guys’ Room
Yeah this is an area that I am most worried about. A big rack looks great on a chick...not great on a guy. lol

Just thought I would share. The other day I went to lunch with my sister and for some reason we decided to sit in a booth( we always get tables for obvious reasons). Well I fit! and comfortably as well. I know not all booths are the same size but it was great to be able to sit in one and be comfortable.

Well I never thought about my coworkers not washing their hands and touching food until now! YUCK! lol I think I will keep that in mind. I have lost the taste for a lot of foods I used to like. They just don't taste the same anymore.
  23. I had sugar free jello and pudding that helped. I don't think I will ever have chicken broth again in my life. lol
