Uncomfortable feeling

I am 6 weeks post op. I am on stage 4 and I feel like I have a lump in my throat and a pain in my chest whenever I eat grilled chicken or any kind of meat( soft meat, not steak).

I'm careful to cut small pieces and chew well. Is this normal? Temporary?

I am 9 months post op and still have that issue from time to time, it's normal. It may go away eventually.

G'day Tina,

I can only speak of my own experiences..

As things currently stand, I tend to shy away from most meats.

I'm 23 weeks post-op and still struggle with a similar feeling if I have meat.

I chew and chew but it doesnt help.

I've now resigned myself to eating minimal meat.

I gnaw at the occasional lump of bacon (mmmmmmmmmmm... bacon) or suck the fat from the odd lamb chop with a tail, but that's it.

I've no idea whether it's temporary or not, but just remember...

It's ok to spit if you don't want to swallow...

Kinda..

I'm almost 6 months post op and I have a hard time with meats still. I tend to eat more soft foods still but I can take some bites of meat but it makes me feel like I have bricks in my stomach.
