    Any Cross Fitters?

I was sleeved August 2015. Been doing crossfit since February 2016 and it's amazing how much stronger I have gotten. Corssfit definitely makes me push beyond my limits every time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm still trying to lose 20 more pounds. It's so hard though! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Ok so this is going to sound quite dumb but is anyone else feeling like they are swallowing air when they casually swallow like just your own saliva? Since yesterday I grew concise of every time I swallowed not food but just my own saliva I suppose. And every time I do it (cause its supposed to happen automatically) but now I am aware every time and do it more than I should. And I am swallowing air! And it's hurting my stomachache! And I can't stop it If I walk and move around I start burping it out but I just can't stop swallowing air. What is wrong with me?
  4. I was 200lbs and 5'4. I had my sleeve done 4 months ago and I am the lightest and fittest I've ever been(162lbs)I've always rated healthy and worked out but I would lose 10 lbs and go back up again as soon as I relaxed my diet. After the sleeve eating healthy has been so much easier and the weight has just been coming off, it's really rewarding. If it's what you want to do, don't let anyone tell you "you aren't that big" or that you are crazy. For me it was the best decision I've ever made. I even got a job a personal trainer.
  5. Hello everybody! I got sleeved on Friday August 7th and I would like to share my day to day expirence with you so to help people who still have gotten the procedure done and know what to expect, to receive tips and good advice form our sleeve veterans and mostly to distract myself from my currently aching tummy and have written reports of progress.
  6. Hello everyone! It has been a while since I last posted but as you all might have found out, the more time passes after your surgery the better you feel and the less you feel like seeking out for support. When you feel like poop you come to this site and try to vent or try to find an explanation about why you feel a certain way. Anyway, today is october 13th, which means I am officially 2 months and about a week post op and I am feeling great. I swear, having this surgery has been the best decision in my life. Losing the weight you've always hated having feels like the best thing in the world. As of today I am at 173lbs, which is 27lbs down from when I started. Isn't that crazy!? my total weight loss goal is 50lbs and I have lost over half of it. I love my "new" body which is a work in progress but every day I look in the mirror and tell myself i look sexy. Yes, some days I still feel fat, especially around the time when I am about to get my period and feel bloaded, but when I try on my pants and they fall off me, I smile and feel like i am conquering the world. I have gone from a tight size 12 and 14 to a size 10 and as for shirts, a size M from being an L pretty much all my life. Today I realized that the belt ive been using for the past several months is too big on me. Even at the smallest hole, its loose. Even my workout pants which should be tight and all are falling off of me whne i try jumping rope or sprinting. I didn't tell anyone other than my immediate family i was gettin the surgery done, however sometimes i feel like stopping people who i know are struggling with weight and tell them about "the best thing in the world" which currently I consider being this surgery. I can now eat a small piece of steak and enjoy it so much and it fills me up. I really have to be doing the mini meals often in order not to get hungry. I am starting to meal prep every friday and it is definitely working. As for my excersice and athletic performance: it is the best its ever been. I am faster, stronger, and more energetic than ever.
  7. Hey so I'm curious as to how much boobs shrink. I know it depends on each body type and stuff but I wanna poll how much have you lost and how many (if at all) cup sizes have you dropped? I'm at 200 and I'm a C Cup. I expect to drop to a B cup?
  8. I'm not meeting with them again until Sept 17th. I should actually be cleared on Monday the 7th. But I couldn't sit still or keep doing the walks. I started doing some of the cardio I did before and felt so much better. I'm used to working out hard so I just felt odd not doing so. I feel absolutely fine however I am aware I had surgery recently, so I an being very attentive to my body and how I feel while exercising. So far so good.
  9. Today I went to the gym and killed it. Did 5 and a half rounds of jump rope and 3 intense rounds on the bag. Missed working out hard. Everyone at the gym complimented me. I noticed a lot of guys checking me out. This is new and honestly feels pretty great!
  10. I just realized I've been an idiot and read stuff wrong. My NUT wrote down 7g of protein per oz of meat. So I probably have been way closer to 60g than I previously had thought. My bad beautiful people!
  11. I think those are the same I bought which I was not exactly sure if I should be doing but I figured those were better than nothing which is what I'd do if u had to take the liquid ones cause those weren't settling in good. I've actually been getting compliments and comments from certain people asking if I've lost weight. It's pretty great!
  12. I'm glad to hear that chewable vitamins are good cause I hate my liquid vitamins so much. Makes me want to puke and prefer the gummies! Thanks! Will look into one a day vitamins
  13. Really? I've has apple juice, Kiefer flax seed, prunes.....and only the occasional bowel moment happens. I just got a stool softener. But I'm gonna take it this morning and hopefully it works by tonight I didn't apple juice helped you go But I drank it the other day and nothing happened. Not even when I frank coffee! Sorry for the typos. It'd 8am on a Saturday lol
  14. Hahaha no no no! Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant I've pooped. But just every like 3 days or so. I didn't have any problems with the liquids and creams but since I started more solid food (fish) I've been having a hard time.
  15. Nice! I went via Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with Dr.Sadek. dealing with him and the hospital was surprisingly easy. The annoying stuff was getting all the clearances from the other docs. About the shakes, yep I'm not doing the 3 shakes. Judy trying to throw in one because even with the fish and cottage cheese I'm not reaching my 60g! It's hard. Anyway, I still haven't been able to poop. So I should do something about that. Finally I just wanna mention that both my coach and the owner of the gym whom I haven't seen since before surgery saw me today and told me I looked toned and skinny! So that's great! Very motivational. And since I am on the gym topic, I was there today and I just had SO much energy! It's crazy. I thought I'd be fatigued but instead I'm not getting tired. My cardio is on point. I could do My workouts faster and wouldn't be winded like I normally would. So I guess those 15lbs I've lost really make me feel lighter and better overall
  16. Welcome fellow new jersian (?) Is that a word? Haha. Walking will be tough at first but you should be okay a couple of days in. I wouldn't push it too much, okay it by ear and listen to your body! Today is day 20 for me and I feel great. This past week I've been allowed to eat fish. So it's been a lot of tilapia and salmon. And honestly it is the best. I feel healthy and energized and I even crave the meals. I'm always like "Mmm I want some fish". I get one of those tilapia filets that come individually wrapped. I thaw it. Cover it with olive oil and rub salt, pepper, garlic and paprika on both sides. Cook it for 10 min at 400F. If it's salmon I eo the same exceot i cook it at 450 for about the same time. And then I serve half the filet (which is about 2 oz) with a tablespoon of cottage cheese, and a table spoon of Beans and maybe some guac. And wow, that fills me up. Since I'm still in summer vacation I take my sweet time and eat it slowly in a spam if 1 or 2 hours. Then my next meal is the other half of the filet with the same sides. And believe me, It makes you feel super energized! In fact yesterday I couldn't take it anymore and I went to my boxing gym. I got some compliments saying I looked "toned" damn! And I took it real easy. I did some jump rope and speed bag. I listened to my body. Made sure nothing was hurting. Finished with some footwork and planks. I had so much energy even after my workout I had a hard time falling asleep. Today I went and volunteered at a pony event. Got home at 9pm. I still have all this energy I don't know what to do with because it's 1am and I'm still not tired. So with that I assume my fatigued days are concluded. On Friday I will be able to eat soft foods and start progressing towards normal foods. Can't wait to eat my veggies again! It's been a while. I don't know about you guys but I'm really inspired to become a clean eater. Now that I can see results eating clean sounds like something I really want to try. As a side note, I'm still having a hard time pooping. I tired a prune, Kiefer, and flax seed smoothie my NUT recommended and that worked too much! So I tried eating just 5 or 6 prunes but haven't seen many results. I'll probably try the smoothie again but it's a little scary cause when you have to go you HAVE to go. Also I've been having a hard time getting in all my 60g of Protein because I'm starting to get grossed out by the Protein shakes. I've tried everything with them and still I cannot finish them. Ugh!
  17. Welcome Natalie! Hope you are feeling great!
  18. Wow that is crazy! You lost almost 50 lbs in 3 weeks! Hope that you feel healthy soon best wishes
  19. Today is day 13 for me I have lost 12.4 lbs as of today which is about 6% of my weight. I don't know the official stats but I think that's pretty good (I hope!). I have been feeling pretty good so I've been biking around instead of walking since my doc said biking was fine and I hate walking cause it's so slow and boring. I think a lot of my belly fat has disappeared cause my belly area looks a lot flatter than it used to. Shirts fit nicer. My goal is to have lost 20 lbs total by the end of august. I will have to work really hard to make that happen but it would be nice to start the school year being 20 lbs lighter also I can't wait to be able to go back to boxing and train at the gym like I'm used to. That's when the real weight losing is gonna start! Plus I'll be able to keep working on my muscles so that they don't get consumed by my own body. Ahem...In other news...I'm constipated which sucks ???? cause I feel like I really wanna poop. But I can't. I'm seeing my NUT tomorrow so hopefully she can give me some pointers or some remedies for that. Cause I feel like keeping all this poop in is not good and it's definitely not gonna help me lose weight Oh yeah! Tomorrow is real food for me! Yay. Cheese and fish. So excited

    Any August Sleevers?

Thanks! I was going crazy with the pre op diet so we got creative
  21. Hello! I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't had any of those problems although I'm still in the pureed/soup face. So we will see on Friday when I can have food that's a bit more solid. How is your progress weight wise going though?

    Any August Sleevers?

Yay! Miso soup is the best! Wasn't it a great idea? So delicious and much better than just gross chicken broth. My mom made me tortilla soup broth too. She got the chicken broth, condimented it, cooked bell peppers, onions, cilantro, tomato sauce in it and then blended it and strained it for me. It was full of flavor yet still clear. Perfect for pre op.
  23. Okay so I'm on day 10 and everything is going great. Most of the pain is gone. And I have been steadily losing! I an now 11.5 lbs lighter. I love it! I can even feel my clothes fitting better. My belly Is starting to look flat-ish. I can't wait to lose more! Anyway I started biking to the park and I might be working out a little too hard that way. But it feels great. I noticed that the days I go to the park and bike about 2 or more miles I get more hungry cause I burn more calories. So it's a give/take. I'm used to working out cause it makes me feel great. It's like my drug, puts me in a great mood and releases all the good hormones. But....I gotta remind myself "you just had major surgery! Calm down" . My incisions, which I was worried about, seem to be healing pretty well. I don't think I will have scarring or anything noticeable once they close up and the bruises around them heal. Pooping! Is another subject. I seem to be pooping every other day or so. Now forget I talked about pooping right before talking about girly stuff And on the girly side...It might just be a confidence boost, but I'm getting a little more attention from the guys. A British boy kissed me and said "you are gorgeous," in the sexiest British accent and a guy at the film photography asked me for my number "you and me Foosball at X bar". So yes, do I recommend surgery? Hell yes.
  24. I love the taste of this one and it says it has 60g of protein per scoop but I haven't read of anyone trying it so just wondering
  25. I found one with less calories and will save this one for next month when I'm exercising again!
