Okay, life has been pretty weird lately. Do you ever go through phases where everything you touch just turns to crap? Well... last few days have been like that. Not one single thing was disasterous, but it was like a series of unfortunate events - ha! Really kinda got me down for a bit there. Seriously
This is a partial list of the crap that has happened to me in the last 1-2 days:
    -vacuum stopped sucking
-internet started sucking - damn brand new router just restarted itself at random and with some frequency (I work from home and really need reliable internet!)
-Vet called in wrong scrip for my ancient dog (end of life pallitive care) and I had to beg pharmasist to give us enough pills for a few days until we could get scrip.
-Had to wait forever for said pharmacist
-Old dog couldn't get up Monday morning - I had to lift him so he could stand to go potty... poor old man, it breaks my heart!
    - and the worst... I sold my beautiful beautiful young horse to a new owner because I have had some health problems that prevent me from giving her what she needs. (like alot of blonde bombshells, she is high maintenance). I actually hired a trusted trainer to sell her and screen the buyer so she went to a home where her talents would be appreciated and her negatives would be managed... I disclosed EVERYTHING about this horse. The buyer turned out to be evil, and not even 2 weeks later is reselling her for way more money and the ad is packed full of lies. She is saying this horse is beginner safe and she is NOT. I am sick about it, what if someone is hurt? What if my beautiful horse is hurt?
Anyway... here is the point of my post. I didn't turn to food even though I felt pretty frustrated and sad and even angry. Especially about my horse.

So after a long talk I think things might be looking up.
He invited me to join him and his friends for dinner the other day and when he mentioned another event coming up asked me if I wanted to join him.
He also mentioned that he wants to see a psychologist. not for marriage counseling but for his own issues which I think would be a very good idea for him. I hope that will help him and therefore help US

Not to be too graphic - but a lack of Water also makes it very difficult to eliminate waste products effectively. Since we tend to not get enough from food as we eat so little, we need to drink it.
The other issue is that for many thirst actually feels like hunger, ensuring that we are not thirsty helps with not feeling hungry to many too.

Wow I've had A LOT of bad dates, but my worst of the worst was an online date back in the day(circa 1997 before I met my husband and got married). We were on our first date and this guy picked me up in a rust bucket car full of trash and I got my favorite skirt covered in car trash ooze of some sort. He had on a dirty looking shirt and jeans that look like they'd never been washed, but I thought maybe he planned to change so I decided to just roll with it. I had a old stale hamburger bun from some rotting meal on the floor board stuck in the high heels of my boots. He stopped for gas and bought himself a drink and didn't bother asking if I wanted anything. I just said "oh no thanks I'm not thirsty" when he got in and he tried to get me to share his and spilled it all down my new blouse and my fav already ruined by now skirt! I wanted to leave so bad, but he started telling me this hardship story and I felt bad so I kept trying to go with this even thought the sirens were going off "run! Run!!". He asked where I wanted to go and I guess it was not the right thing to say, because I said, "I could go just about anywhere. I'm pretty easy!" So he tried to take me to the pay by the hour motel on the highway where all the nasty people went to get it on. Right outside this God forsaken hellhole his car broke down. I was yelling at him because A) I didn't mean THAT easy and I'm from a small town and if anyone saw me, my reputation, and my life as I knew it were going to be over. Well, so the car is dead out in front of this place and he goes knocking on doors to hotel rooms trying to get a jump for the battery, but then tells me we need to move the car out of the street, but he couldn't push it because he had open heart surgery and he isn't suppose to even lift heavy things. He had already told me about this heart condition when we were talking online so ugh I knew if I didn't push it we weren't going anywhere. So here I am, high heeled boots covered in crap, a ruined skirt and blouse, way over dressed for how he showed up, pushing his piece of crap car into the motel de skank while he sat in the drivers seat steering. I was scared someone would see me out there as that was the only thing on that stretch of highway so if you were stopped there, they knew(or thought they knew)what you were doing! So eventually this guy got his piece of crap car started and I told him to take me home(not my home but thank god I didn't have him pick me up at my own house!). We got there and he actually had the audacity to ask for another date and I just looked blank at him and said "let's not" and walked away. It was one of the worst dates of my life and actually caused me to quit dating after that until I met my now husband(also online but because I forgot to take my profile down and his response to why I said I am no longer accepting dates online was adorable).

This may be bariatric heresy, but when I got to that point where I just wanted to eat my thumbs, I started gearing my meals for more Fiber at the cost of some of the Protein. At close to two years, I am still at only 1000 calories and am supposed to be getting 80-100 grams of Protein. I have backed it off to 60 grams in order to get the Fiber in.
My hamburger patty became 1/2 hamburger patty with Beans and stuff made up as chili. My 3 ounces of chicken became two ounces of chicken and a couple extra bites of veggie. By veggie I don't mean potatoes or corn every night. I mean broccoli, cauliflower, squash, and green Beans and veggies like that.
I love cheese and Peanut Butter, but they don't fill me up. But if I have a 1/2 sliced apple with a tbs. of Peanut Butter, that helps satisfy for a snack. You can substitute the real deal for foods processed in a factory. This would be an apple with the peel, not applesauce, fresh pear with the skin, not canned pears in Syrup, banana - not banana pudding, or Tomato wedges instead of tomato juice.
I have good days and bad days too. If my sciatica is acting up, I want comfort food, not celery sticks. This is a balancing act for life and challenging to get perfect every day. Just do your best and try to stay away from edibles made in a factory. Call it food? ??? I can't. I just can't.

I haven't done therapy but did journal pre- and post-op. I identified my triggers for eating and put plans in place to stop them. For me, I am a stress eater and a bored eater. I have learned to identify my triggers and find other things to do or drink Water.
Lots of folks have posted their eating problems are much deeper. For those, therapy is in order. Therapy would also be in order if you cannot control your eating on your own. It takes work not just identifying the problems but putting solutions in place and sticking to them.
    Good luck!

I have been stalled for about 3 weeks at 200-201.5. Today after walking all weekend at fall festivals I finally hit 199.6!!! I graduated high school weighing about 190, so it has been about 20 years since I have seen the one on the scale!!! I had the sleeve done on June 15, 2015 and my pre surgery weight was 260. I have lost 60 lbs in 3 1/2 months. I have already gotten rid of all my clothes and am amazed that I am wearing size 13/14. Before surgery I was wearing 22. I am on cloud 9 right now and am celebrating tonight with another walk and maybe I can talk my hubby into a back rub!!! Picture is from my daughters graduation May 15 and then this weekend.

If the cousin is in your home, you could give them a nice list of hotels in the area and tell them they are welcome to stay at one of them if they are not going to be respectful to you. There is no excuse to be ugly.
I understand this may seem harsh, but that level of rudeness is unacceptable.

Hello!!! I just wanted to add to this thread!!! I'm 3 weeks and 4 days post op and I (before surgery) would get a Passion Tea Lemonade with at least 10 pumps sweetner in it. Well, since sugar makes me NAUSEATED just at that thought of it and I cannot tolerate artificial sweetners, I decided to Google the nutritional facts of drinks at starbucks......for those of us pretty early post op, I was very VERY happy to find out that I can have a regular iced passion tea!!! It has 0 fat. 0 sugar. 0 carbs. 0 calories and is also caffeine FREE. I'm so excited about this!!!

So last night I took my teenage daughter (14) to the movies. We were in the process of getting ready and she starts freaking out! She says " MOM!!! What the heck?!" I being in shock was like "What , what happened?!" She says "You're wearing my freaking underwear!!" I immediately flipped the tag over and sure enough they were hers! She bought the same ones as me only two sizes smaller. I, being thoroughly amused started doing the booty shaking victory dance. She however was not near as amused as I was. That's ok though because I got a new NSV AND I inherited a new pair of undies!! For some reason she insisted that I keep them! So when I say "funniest" what I really mean is funniest for me. Ha!! Winning!!!

Morningstar isn't my cup of tea. I don't like the cellulose in it (and of course it triggers my allergies). However I do a basic egg bake in cupcake tins similar to this. I use eggs, cheese, veg, TVP or seitan. The good thing about a recipe like this is if you make them on Sunday then you have a quick grab and go Breakfast.
