Drs. in Conroe, The Woodlands, College Station?
Hi, I was banded in December by Dr. John Mason in Bryan. I would highly recommend him! He is great and he has excellent staff! The Physician's Centre is also a great place. You should check it out and I'd be happy to talk to you about it more if you'd like.

I got the Hip-Hop Abs work out videos and they are pretty fun. Makes exercising a little more exciting!

Stalled??
I kinda hit that same plateau, but was able to get a small fill and get things moving again. I dropped about 30 lbs in the first 3 weeks and then nothing for a few weeks. Happy to say the scale is moving again!

2 month post-op progress
I'm very happy with the way things are goin so far. I've lost almost 45 lbs. I've set up a mini goal to get down to 200lbs by St. Patty's Day...so that is about another 17 lbs.

Do you burp more now that you are banded? (non-productive, just air)
I feel that I burp much less since being banded 12/6/2007.

First Stuck/Slime/PB Episode
I haven't heard about the Papaya enzyme or pineapple juice....how does that help? What do you do?

First Stuck/Slime/PB Episode
My first PB was also on a chicken nugget from Chick-fil-a. It was terrible!!! Mine went down though after about 15-20 minutes. It scared me really bad and I have no plans to be picking up food from Chick-fil-a again! I do like their diet lemonade though!!

Spring/The Woodlands - Coffee anyone??
I'm up at Lake Conroe. That would be great to meet some local fellow bandsters! I'm up for it!

Pain after eating?
I was banded on 12/6/07 and about 4 days later I ended up dehydrated and back in the hospital for fluids. My surgeon starts his patients with some fluid in the band and when he did my surgery he also repaired a hiatal hernia so I had additional swelling. (So glad it's fixed though..haven't had any acid reflux since the surgery!!) When I was dehydrated, he also removed some of the fluid that he had put in at the time of surgery. It really made a big difference and I felt much better from that day forward. You should definitely still check with your surgeons to see what is going on.

First Fill-NOT feeling it
I am able to eat about a cup of food, maybe a little more. I thought that was too much, but I'm still losing weight so I'm not worried about it. Last week I lost just over 3 lbs and I've lost a total of 38 lbs so far. My surgery was 12/6/07.

favorite foods you can no longer eat
I guess it varies for each person, but I am still able to eat Cereal and Pasta. I think the biggest difference is that it doesn't take much of anything to make me feel full. So it's not like you are starving yourself. I have been able to eat most things in moderation. The thing to remember is that you want to lose the weight, so in the end you'll need to make better choices in what you eat. I love my band and I am still learning as I go how it all works!
