Hey Sarah, glad to help. You should call Karen and talk to her, that's what she's for and she's the expert! I'll be in Conroe and Houston tomorrow, I'll give you and Melinda a call and see if either of you can meet me at some point. I'm seeing Dr. Collier in the afternoon and JourneyLite in the morning but I'm getting my Woodlands shopping addiction taken care of before and inbetween appointments. I'll also get my Conroe fixes after my Dr. Collier appt. Hopefully we can meet. Let me know, or I'll call. I'm sending you an email with some info we talked about the other day. When I saw Dr. Collier on the 9th he told me that in June they would be starting a support group but I haven't received anything from his office. Did they call, email or how did you receive the info on the support group? I have an appt on the 4th with Dr. Collier, if ya'll want to meet that day or evening. Let me know. How's it going Sarah? Hope you are doing good. Melinda, how are you doing? I'm doing good, at least I think I am. I don't know how much additional weight I've lost but I"m sure I've lost some. I have an appt for a fill on the 4th, guess I'll wait and see if I need it or if I put it off for a bit...I'll probably get a little bit of a fill, I'd rather have slow fills and many then for them to be agressive, it seems to work for me. I'll see what Dr. Collier says on the 4th. Please give me the info on the support group, I'll probably drive in for it, I'll just have to see. I know I'm out of town part of that week, I sure hope it's not that day. Let me know what's going on with everyone, call me anytime or email...I'm here for ya'll !! :crying:

I'll be at Dr. Collier's office at 9:45 Friday morning, I'll be at JourneyLite at 11:14 Friday morning and I'll be in Karen's office at 2pm Friday. I am going shopping at The Woodlands Mall at some point for a gift. I will be going to DSW shoe store, Kohl's, Michael's, Pier 1, GardenRidge, Kirkland's and who knows where else..........so call my cell if anyone wants to meet at some point Friday. Sarah, I saw your post that you'd be out and about, I'll give you a call or be at Dr. Collier's office when I am. Melinda, what's up in your world? When do you go back to Dr. Collier? What time are you going to JourneyLite Friday, I'm sure you'll be there early in the morning so I won't see you. Well everyone have a wonderful Mother's Day if I don't talk to you before then!! Congrats on your surgery date! I'm also a Dr. Collier patient and can't say enough good things about him. His "NUT", Karen is very good also, she answers all my questions time and time again. I'm having my 2nd visit with Dr. Collier on Friday, my 2nd fill on Friday and my 2nd visit with Karen on Friday....I'm very anxious to see how I'm doing. After the 1st fill things really improved with the hunger so I'm hoping the 2nd fill will be even better, we shall see. I'll post my update on Friday!

Well Sarah, tell your DH thanks! but when I started I had over 100 lbs to lose! I can't wait to see Dr. Collier and see how much more weight I've lost. I'm only using his scales for now. Soon I'm going to use my PCP's, she's very supportive of my having the band. We need to plan our next meeting......

I'm also a patient of Dr. Richard Collier and he is wonderful, I'd suggest you call his office if you haven't done so, but I don't know if they take outside patients. Dr. Collier offers fills free for life so I don't know. You might also call JourneyLite and ask them, that is where I get my fills but they have many surgeons so it's worth a try. Good luck!:huh2:

Dr. Collier is my surgeon as well, he's wonderful! I used Journey Lite as well as I was self-pay and they are very professional and yet very friendly and always make you comfortable. I've had one fill and it was painless, took moments and she's obviously very good. The aftercare is the reason I chose Dr. Collier and JourneyLite, it's the best around and I think we all know aftercare is probably one of the most important aspects of this type of surgery...we need support after the surgery to be successful, at least most of us do! Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.

I'd love to get together on a "regular" basis, maybe someplace in the middle??? haha Thanks for the compliment Sarah, I feel wonderful and I'm anxious to see what my weight loss is now. After yesterday I am moving my appt up so I can find out my current weight and get an appt for my 2nd fill. Melinda, it's like we've known each other for years so it was great to finally meet face to face with no curtains or screens.......haha You both have my cell phone, let's set another date! Anyone else in the area, join us........and I don't think I'll be driving to meet ya'll and walk, just a bit far. :huh2:

We're meeting Saturday, April 26th at the Starbucks, Lake Conroe at 9 am. Everyone is welcome, come join us! :tongue_smilie:

Is the support group only for Dr. Spivak's patients? If you don't know will you ask? I'm willing to attend all the support groups I can find in the Conroe/Willis area. Thanks!
