  1. My order from Patch MD came today. It'll be nice to stop the multivitamin gummies as they had some carbohydrates. Will report back!
  2. @@Sharon1964 You're so right. I know for a fact that the facility I work for doesn't carry bariatric blood pressure cuffs either. Good for you and good luck on your WLS!
  3. You may be intolerant of whole milk...use judiciously!
  4. It's probable. A bruise can last anywhere between 7-14 days depending on the thickness of your skin.
  5. Great concept. I would be interested.
  6. I know it's hard, but what's meant to be will be. Good luck to you.
  7. I actually flew on a plane on post-op day 2. Most people do fine by then.
  8. Very inspiring story! Congratulations on your weight loss.
  9. Uh oh. It's ultimately up to your surgeon, but I would prepare myself for a delay.
  10. Great job! I would've been so crushed that I don't know if I would have thought of that. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Sometimes I miss the sugary stuff, like cake, candy bars, macaroons, and...oh let me stop now!
  12. Do you guys feel out of place in class, especially in the beginning? I'm trying to drum up the courage to go!
  13. Just wanted to send positive thoughts your way!
  14. I'm planning on a breast lift with augmentation once I've reached my goal weight. Out of the four plastic surgeons I've seen in consultation, only one advised to do the procedure now...the others were strongly opposed to it until I lost all the weight.
  15. Yes, there is a problem using it on my iPhone as well.
  16. I don't have enough information to determine if your lap band has failed, but perhaps you and your physician should research your next options.
  17. Sending positive thoughts your way!
  18. Interesting! I'm sure they had everyone sign HIPAA/patient confidentiality forms at your first appointment...so this just seems a bit odd? I guess they can get around it with permission of the patient? Never seen it though.
  19. You may need to speak with your pharmacist about the best way to handle this, as you can't quarter or smash an extended release drug.
  20. Around 4 weeks. I could only tolerate a bite or two, but it was worth it!
  21. Just wanted to send positive thoughts your way, Nicole!
  22. I used ankle weights and fudged my height a bit to try to qualify for WLS through my insurance. I'm sure it's more common than most people think.
  23. For clothing, I recommend something with an elastic waist, that's at least one size too big to allow for bloating. Bring what you would take along for vacation. Unfortunately they're always will be something you forgot, despite all of the meticulous planning. Good luck with your surgery!
