Open surgery?
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Expect a longer and more painful recovery, but it shouldn't change your weight loss outcome.

Sleeved August 10th, pain has come back...
Is it just a burning sensation? Sounds like a reflux problem based off the information you've given.

How often is it okay to eat?
If you are truly hungry, then it is okay to eat. Early on, I could only eat a few bites at a time and would find myself hungry every 2-3 hours.

Yoga post-op
@@roundisashape Is there a particular reason why you waited 6 months before starting yoga? I signed up for a free yoga class next week and definitely don't want to push my body too soon.

Does having a VSG help with energy problems?
Carrying less weight around will definitely help with energy. However, I believe the diet may play a substantial role as well. Many of us dramatically cut the amount of carbohydrates we consume post-operatively and replace that with increased protein. Protein is so much better for our bodies than simple sugars!

If you went to mexico for your gastric sleeve surgery, who was your doctor and how much did it cost?
I'm not criticizing you for picking Dr. Almanza. As you've stated, you claim you knew about all his horror stories upfront. Just because you turned out okay does not mean the next patient will. And we're not talking about leak complication rates. Critically ill patients have been left at the border by Dr. Almanza and his staff because they were "too sick". Others are in comas. This isn't a joke!

Miralax vs. Milk of magnesia or others? Help.
Miralax takes time to work, so I wouldn't bank on that. If you're looking for immediate relief, you can consider a suppository or enema.

If you went to mexico for your gastric sleeve surgery, who was your doctor and how much did it cost?
All surgeons have complication rates, but Dr. Almanza's are much too high to my liking. Also, not very long ago this site cut off ties with him because of his shady practices. I would hate for someone to book him and have an unfavorable outcome.

If you went to mexico for your gastric sleeve surgery, who was your doctor and how much did it cost?
I have no idea why anyone would advocate Dr. Almanza. From the horror stories I've read, I don't understand why @@Quasimoto51 would say that.

Pneumonia and Meningitis ***WORRIED***
Wow, what dedication on your part! I'm know it sucks not having a true diagnosis yet, but in cases like yours we always treat everything it could be, and then start working backwards in terms of ruling stuff out. *hugs*
