Open surgery?

I was scheduled for my lap VSG yesterday, but when they got in, there was too much scar tissue, so they've rescheduled me to next Tuesday at the hospital instead of the outpatient surgical center. There's a 50-50 chance that I may end up needing to have open surgery instead of laproscopic. Does anyone have experience with recovery from an open VSG? I'm assuming the recovery time will be longer, but trying to get some idea of what to expect!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Expect a longer and more painful recovery, but it shouldn't change your weight loss outcome.
