  1. @@WantToBe How did it go? I'm waiting to see doctor in a few days. I think I have an incisional hernia. Horrible bowel pain and a bulge above belly button. Ugh! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Insurance requires failing. What?

Good luck and keep us updated!! I'm crossing my fingers. My doc only made me lose 10 pounds per insurance, and no gain.........I suceeded. I waited 5 months through all the checklist but it's worth the wait!! 1 year post surgery, and down 60 lbs, and feel so great now!!

    Hair loss - Help?

Thank you all!! This makes me feel better. I was kinda in panic mode! lol I don't do well with Protein intake, so I am sure I could try to increase that. I need to go get my labs drawn again. I have a low thyroid, and low Iron, so I will focus on that too. I have lost 60 lbs and have hit a wall with that for the past few months. I just started doing roller derby, so I am working out a lot, and hopefully will start to lose again. I just hope the hair loss is over! I need my hair! lol
  4. Help? I had my sleeve surgery a year ago, and I have lost over 50% of my hair. Anyone else have this problem, and what helps? Will it get better? I am taking daily Multivitamins, Biotin, & even trying Rogaine, but not seeing results yet. I used to have really thick hair, and now it's so thin and has no body at all. I am so depressed about it. Thanks ~Natalie

    3 months

Congrats!! I am right there with you. I am almost 3 months post op and EXTREMELY happy with my weight loss and absolutely thrilled I chose this surgery. I am loving my transformation and things have gotten easier with my eating, so I feel complete almost. I am going on a mini vacation this weekend too for the first time. We are going tubing on the river, and I will be wearing a bathing suit and actually feel more comfortable. I can't wait!! Oh and I've lost a total of 40 lbs as of today, since pre-op, and 24 lbs since surgery! Have fun on your vaca!!

    3 month post op pics

Great job!! You look awesome! I am right behind you at 2.5 months post op. I'll post my 3 month pics soon.
  7. I had my 10 year wedding anniversary 1 week after surgery, and was a little bummed, but I made it fun. I had chicken tortilla soup at a Mexican restaurant (my hubs fav) and only ate the broth, and really enjoyed it, oddly enough! It will soon get so much easier. I am 2 1/2 months post op and things are really getting better! So happy with the weight loss, that everything else is minor! We are now trying to find a weekend to get away to actually enjoy our 10 yr anniversary soon. Good luck and Happy Birthday!!

    Spicy food

I have always loved spicey foods, and am very thrilled that I have NO problems at all being able to eat all the spicey foods as I did before. I am 6 weeks post op, and just had jalapenos last night with no issues. Crawfish I tolerated well too! Good Luck in your journey! The first few days will be tough, but you will be so happy very soon!
  9. I'm 6 weeks post op now and no more pain ????. Feeling great!!

    Dumping Syndrome

But sorry! I had gastric bypass! Not the sleeve! (I'm 10 days post op) That's exactly what I experienced from 3 bites of breakfast sausage, only it lasted 2 hours of misery totally clearing my system. ????

    Moving on to Solids!

I was sleeved 4/23, and lost 15 lbs since surgery. I mostly eat soups, cottage cheese, avocado, string cheese, applesauce, and yogurt. Soft cooked veggies are fine too. Scrambled eggs still is uncomfortable, as well as other things. I'm tired of soup!!!!

    Preop Diet

sugar free Popsicles saved me and still do! 4 weeks post op and doing well! My pre-op diet was 2 meals replaced with a Protein shake (I used Premier protein), and 3 oz of meat, 1 cup of veggies, 1 cup of fruit...snacks throughout the day were 1 cup of fruit, all I want chicken broth, sugar free Popsicles and jello! I made it by having a spoonful of Peanut Butter when I got hungry sometimes.
