  1. hi all, I have been so bad about checking in.. what a week here I have been doing some vomiting after meals but this weekend it took the cake. then the pain started, then I couldn't even keep the water down so on Tuesday I went in to see the doctor test were run and I was a direct admit Wednesday I had my lap-band removed and replaced, I'm home and feeling good(thanks to the med's) I still wouldn't trade it for the world

  3. OK what a week, started vomiting on Sunday, doc Tues due to pain, new lap band place today due to slippage .. but I did lose..lol C-182 oh and I'm feeling good,(good Meds.) will update tomorrow

  8. I make those mashed all the time, my husband always says I bet you added protein to these...lol ( he's a bypass, I'm a bandser) and of course I did. He never knew till I told him one day
  9. Hi Rosa, yeah slow but sure I'm taking off about 5 lbs a month and I'm happy with that. you can see my slow progress under my signature but it took me more then a few months to put my body in this shape. a life time to be exact

  16. well it only took 4 months from start in Aug to banding in DEC for me I have a friend who was told by the office that they could get her in and done before end of June and that was when she could get her first apt with the other group in Springfield. so I guess it depends on the office at the time, I had blue cross and they took less then 3 weeks.. good luck and I know each day feels like forever. been there, done that...

  18. hello everyone, well as we slip farther and father into March and we get fool by the nice weather this week.. something like my weight lose /gain I'm glad to say we know it only gets better.. I still haven't got myself out walking. I need a good kick in the butt! hope this finds everyone happy and healthy with their choices

For those of you who don't know I'm Tess..lol my DH had gastric bypass, it will be three years this month and I had lap banding in DEC. we also met on line in 1999 and will Celebrate 5 wonderful years of marriage this June.. this is going to be a duel challenge for us He's thinking of banding on top of his bypass he's not losing weight just sitting there.(he jokes about it but) hopefully this will jump start us both I'm a bad band-er I eat to fast and the wrong stuff so as of today's new lease on life that's one thing I like about the band I can always start over and not feel like I failed Tess 3/1 195 highest 218 now 195 goal for end of march 190 jlee 3/1 260
  21. hello Mel, it took me 4 months from start to banding and it took the insurance company less then 3 weeks to OK me and then1 month after that for my banding at Bay-State best of luck
  22. oh I know how you feel Yesterday was a family birthday party for my Dad and then off to work and you know it cake number two is out and its cho. frosting

March in new England has a lot to be grateful for, we know winter is on its way out and all us hibernators will have to start thinking about getting out and walking ( not today 5 out there) I'm doing fine still learning the ropes on eating have lost 17.5 lbs since my banding in dec. and think each day will be the day I start exercising to help with the weight loss.. hows everyone else doing
