Hi, today I went in for a fill and to be honest I've not been the best banster.. instead of losing weight I put on 10 lbs and today I want to start again.. can anyone help.. what should I do to restart, I have 9 cc in my band. I was told each fill could be a new beginning. the doctor wants to see me in 2 weeks to keep a close watch Thanks

  17. hi, let me tell u having a band-less vacation is the last thing everyone needs ..I know I just had one.. It takes lots of will power something I didn't have, or I wouldn't have been here in the first place. when my band was replaced because they didn't have to manipulate the stomach my swelling was down in a week but Dr said he wanted to give it another week before the first fill. well my vac came before my fill it was hard work I thank God daily for his help during this time.. and you don't really have to deprive yourself with the band. just think of it a tool to remind yourself that your taste bud got their full about 3 bites ago

ok as we slip into March

Mel, sorry to hear your insurance won't cover the band, I hope everyone has a good time on the 11th I'll be cruising the Atlantic that day. Dr Hagg just revised my band on the 17th. so I need to start over. wishing you the best
  22. March in new England has a lot to be grateful for, we know winter is on its way out and all us hibernators will have to start thinking about getting out and walking ( not today 5 out there) I'm doing fine still learning the ropes on eating have lost 17.5 lbs since my banding in dec. and think each day will be the day I start exercising to help with the weight loss.. hows everyone else doing
  23. Mary, I just had my band replaced a week ago. I know the feeling ( had first band place 12/8/05) my doctor was into saving the band, his partner was into replacing the band ..which they did with a VG..No one really knows why I started to slip just that it did. Wishing you the best of luck
  24. hi all, I have been so bad about checking in.. what a week here I have been doing some vomiting after meals but this weekend it took the cake. then the pain started, then I couldn't even keep the water down so on Tuesday I went in to see the doctor test were run and I was a direct admit Wednesday I had my lap-band removed and replaced, I'm home and feeling good(thanks to the med's) I still wouldn't trade it for the world
