I was told each fill could be a new beginning. the doctor wants to see me in 2 weeks to keep a close watch Thanks

  15. hi, let me tell u having a band-less vacation is the last thing everyone needs ..I know I just had one.. It takes lots of will power something I didn't have, or I wouldn't have been here in the first place. when my band was replaced because they didn't have to manipulate the stomach my swelling was down in a week but Dr said he wanted to give it another week before the first fill. well my vac came before my fill it was hard work I thank God daily for his help during this time.. and you don't really have to deprive yourself with the band. just think of it a tool to remind yourself that your taste bud got their full about 3 bites ago
  16. I feel good, had my first fill yesterday in my new band and after a week on a cruise I weighted in at C-183 not bad for two weeks of a wide open band
  17. last day of may, what a month.. not doing to bad with a wide open Vg replacement even went back down to my lowest weight.. c-182 down 2lbs
  18. lady bug, welcome to this side of bandland.
  19. Mel, sorry to hear your insurance won't cover the band, I hope everyone has a good time on the 11th I'll be cruising the Atlantic that day. Dr Hagg just revised my band on the 17th. so I need to start over. wishing you the best
  20. Mary, I just had my band replaced a week ago. I know the feeling ( had first band place 12/8/05) my doctor was into saving the band, his partner was into replacing the band ..which they did with a VG..No one really knows why I started to slip just that it did. Wishing you the best of luck
  21. no weight loss this week even a little gain c-184 VG band replaced my old band on the 17th now to not gain wieght in the next 3 weeks
  22. OK went to the doctors yesterday, everything looks good. I received a VG band and have to start all over except for the food stages I can go to soft and not have to live on liquids, the only issue will be I have no restriction and wont for about 3 weeks, they will do my first fill June 14. I feel lucky to have been able to have a new band put in. now my personal goal is to not gain any weight, weight in at office at 184
  23. yes my band had started to slip they had hoped they could just adjust it. but, then I was scheduled for a band removal and VG band placement. so I think that's what happened I left the hospital 9 hours after my surgery so I haven't talked to the surgeon yet, just an hospital intern who really didn't know much
