2 month post op and stalled since week 3
Your eating 1200 calories a day at 2 months post-op? Is the calorie goal from your surgeon/nutritionist? That seems really high to me-- I am a bypass patient, but at almost 3 months out I can only get in 500-600 calories a day. (65-80g protein) My sister is a sleeve patient she is 8 months post and she eats 900 calories a day.

Appetite suppressants (prescribed) 2 years out...
My surgeon told me he does this for some patients 15-18 months out the to help with the last push--- I take Wellbutrin for mild depression and I mentioned I don't think I needed it anymore. My surgeon suggested I stay on it because Wellbutrin can help with cravings/hungry-- it is part of a new appetite suppressant. I don't think it is uncommon to be used short term. ????

What is Your "Go-To" Protein Shake Recipe?
Every morning I have a Protein coffee Latte! 1 cup Fairlife Skim Milk 1-2 packets instant Starbucks coffee (or instant coffee of choice) 1/2 C room temp Water 1 scoop Protein Powder of choice My aborted are pumpkin spice (GNC), Cookies and Cream (muscle Milk) or Vanilla (muscle milk) Warm the milk in microwave 60 seconds (I do 30 seconds because I do iced coffee) Mix in instant coffee-- In a separate container mix protein powder with 1/2 cup water until smooth- (lumps) pour a little of the warm coffee in to bring up the temp of protein powder- Than pour protein mix slowly in to coffee while storing to preset any clumps of protein. Serve hot or pour over ice! This is my favorite protein shake recipe book! That is where the protein coffee came from! She also has a blog with free recipes! What did you tell people about your absence?
I was gone for 6 weeks-- I didn't tell anyone before I left except those who needed to know HR and my boss. I said surgery not which one. When I returned I felt comfortable sharing what happened. If I haven't I would have stuck with surgery and not gone into detail.

I'm hearing I'm taking the easy way out from family and friends
That's really tough. ???? My husband wasn't "happy" about it but he knew I was going to make up my own mind. Do you plan to tell him? Don't you think he will guess when you are loosing weight?
-
Just a little venting
This⬆️ Doesn't sound like much of a friend. ???????????? Also, I would be pissed if my husband dismissed my feelings like... LMAO-- ????????

This is success! Best thing I have ever done
You look great!!

I'm hearing I'm taking the easy way out from family and friends
During pre-op I only told my husband, sister, and mom. My mom was nervous but supportive- my sister has weight loss surgery a few months before me so we were going through the process at the same time. My sister was my biggest champion! My husband was very supportive at first- he knew I would make my own decision-- the closer it got to surgery he stressed and freaked out a bit. He didn't want me to have surgery the night before- he was very worried about me getting injured or even death during surgery! With my husband I have had to go over my thought process over and over again. I didn't tell anyone at work what surgery I was having-- I didn't want horror stories or other opinions after I researched and made my own choices. I am two months out and still have to remind my husband everything is going well- every time I vomit or have a pain my husband is worried about me. I think as time goes on he will relax a bit! When I returned to work I told anyone who asked about looking great-weight loss. Everyone at my hospital has been really supportive! We talk about all the time-- I hope something else happens soon soon so I am not the new issue anymore! All in all I have had only positive response- I haven't really told my extended family because I haven't seen them yet!

Anyone have an over 50 BMI?

What was your most recent NSV? (non-scale victory)
I have two! I had to buy new scrubs for work- an XL because my 3X scrubs were falling off! I bought a dress from an online retailer (clothes come from China) I bought thinking it would be to small for another month or too- just tried it on today for fun and it fits!! I am really excited at the changes! I will be 2 months on the 29th- I have lost 26 pounds since surgery- 44 pounds from my first weigh in at surgeon's office. I included a picture from a week before surgery so you can compete-- I was making a worried face because I didn't want my sister to snap a picture. ???? *my toddler took the picture in the red polka dot dress it explains why I have no head. He is the only one home today to help me with a picture!

I have had my Charge HR from Fitbit since it first came out- almost a year now. I LOVE it and the tracking software. I also love the sleep tracking feature. I have used Fitbit products for around 2 years total. I also have the Fitbit scale- I love how everything is tracked automatically!

Fair life Skim? Where are you?
Yeah- I couldn't drink milk before fair life either-- ❤️❤️ this stuff! My DH drinks a lot of milk after I switched he said how awesome the milk was because he didn't get gas/bloating after drinking a lot of milk! My Meijer has been out of the skim-- (reason I posted originally) I don't normally shop at Kroger, but might need to see if the have any skim... Maybe it is a local issue? Or maybe a whole lot of people in my area discovered how awesome fair life skim milk is! ????????

Video of my 1 year progress!
wonderful!! Congrats on your accomplishments!

Fair life Skim? Where are you?
I have been using the 2%, but it is a lot more calories... I suppose since I don't eat much it isn't the biggest deal. I was just use to buying 2 skim and 2 whole cartons on each shopping trip. I give my husband/son the whole milk. Tonight I asked my local target about it and they said it was a company issue?
