  1. Thank you for all the feedback. I am one week post op and I am planning to return to my Social Work job on Wednesday. I had some discomfort the first few days but I attribute it entirely to the gas. I feel great and will make the transition slow and I am able to catch a breath when needed. Good luck to all in their recovery and thanks again for taking the time to respond.
  2. I too was nervous. I had my surgery this past Monday. I read a lot and watched an embarrassing amount of YouTube videos!! I am 6 days out and feel amazing! The first few days I was uncomfortable but my biggest challenge was drinking everything. It has gotten easier everyday and today I had been the most active and have been up and about all day. I went grocery shopping with help, did a few errands with a chauffeur and made a nice dinner. I think now being on the other side just remember everyone's journey is different. If reading a lot helps then do it but just remember because it happened to them it doesn't mean it will be your experience. Best of luck!
  3. Curious how long peoples post op gas pains lasted?
  4. Had my surgery Monday. Curious to know how long people experienced gas pains for. I feel like if they were gone I would feel a lot better
  5. Just curious how long people were off work for after surgery.

They cleared em for surgery. October 2015: Met with internist, had bloodwork, x-ray and gastroscopy. November 2015: Met with a surgeon from the program. 16. @@fordgirlalways thank you! I cannot believe it is only 8 more days. My nerves have subsided and I am really looking forward to it. Just keeping myself busy with last minute planning for my family and ensuring I have some things done so I won't have to worry if I am not up to it. How have you found it since your surgery?
