  1. It's funny actually, I was thinking about this the other day. I feel pretty conflicted over the whole thing. I am just starting my wls journey and before I was a big supporter of these types of movements (no pun intended lol). On instagram, I followed all sorts of plus size power houses and truly inspiring women and then I started my journey and I'm now following over 200 wls patients, workout pages and health pages. So there are times now where I'm scrolling and looking at all these before and afters and I'm like oh yeaa I'm so excited to be on the same path and then i see a post that's the biggest greasiest pizza and it's like #luvyurself #treatyurselfcauseyouthaqueen It's an interesting argument anyways. Gonna have to follow along this one Ps If you're on the instaa then follow me (Tbh nothing exciting yet but once the ball is rolling in my process I'm posting it all ) @baylyygail

  7. Hello friends ! I am from Ontario, Canada and I will be having rny through OHIP (Bariatric Network). One problem. THE WAIT TIME!! -begin rant- At first I was like oh ndb, this is so worth waiting for (and don't take me wrong, I am not second guessing for a second.) But I think I am actually going crazy! It started with being obsessed with other patients success and failure stories, doing all of the research ( I could probably perform the surgery now lol) But lately, I find myself putting my life on hold untill I hear back from them, like oh, I'll wait to do that after my surgery. And because of this hope of a newish bod I feel so insecure about my current one. I used to be that big girl that ROCKED it, full of confidence and everything. Where did my confidence go? It renamed itself Waldo and crawled into a bush somewhere. As far as a light at the end of the tunnel? It's been 3 months since my information session, at least 3-4 till I hear from them again. Yay, halfway?? On the plus side this time is allowing me to create better habits and taste the food that will one day be my reality. And I'm doing pretty great at that. If you read through this, thanks. I try to talk to my (super supportive) boyfriend but he's just like oh, yeah. Noo help.
  8. fellow canadian here ! I'm in Ontario and waiting and waiting to get this partaay started !! Lol. I'll be getting it done in Toronto some time this year hopefully !

  13. I'm excited to not be afraid of being humiliated about not fitting on a ride at an amusement park. I think I would still fit now but the idea of them maybe not getting it closed stops me from even trying. My bf and I have already planned a date to go on rides once I'm down I'm also looking forward to exercise not being so difficult to do! I have trouble getting into positions and keeping up and I can't wait to be able to whoop ass !!!
  14. I'm in Ontario tooo ! Another one here. Just starting the process. My PCP sent off my referral last week. how exciting !! Where abouts is your clinic?
  15. I'm in Ontario tooo ! Where are you having your procedure? Who is your surgeon? I'm not sure of the surgeon's name but it's getting done at humber river, the new one that's in Toronto !

  20. Hey everyone ! I've been reading almost every post on here and I can't help but feel the love and support that's going on! It's getting me so mentally prepared and EXCITED. I'm from Canada so I know our health system is a bit different but I am in a bariatric program to get RNY. I still have several appointments to go through and then eventually get a surgery date several months down the road but the journey has already begun. Making small changes each week to better prepare myself for the other side ☺ looking forward to chatting with some of you guys !!! Any other Canadians in the house?
