Hi I'm new !

Hey everyone !

I've been reading almost every post on here and I can't help but feel the love and support that's going on!

It's getting me so mentally prepared and EXCITED.

I'm from Canada so I know our health system is a bit different but I am in a bariatric program to get RNY. I still have several appointments to go through and then eventually get a surgery date several months down the road but the journey has already begun.

Making small changes each week to better prepare myself for the other side ☺ looking forward to chatting with some of you guys !!!

Any other Canadians in the house?

Welcome! Lots of great people here. I'm in the States.

Congrats and welcome aboard! This is a very friendly and informative site to learn from as you await your upcoming surgery. Best of luck!

I am in Ontario. Good luck!

Where are you having your procedure? Who is your surgeon?

Another one here. :) Just starting the process. My PCP sent off my referral last week.

I'm not in Canada, but I think I'm about in the same stage as you are. I've been researching Sleeve and RNY for a year, and finally started the process a couple of months ago. I've had my first full work-up visit lasting several hours, met with the nut, exercise therapist, surgeon, had my psych eval, and am working through my 6 month supervised weight loss (in month 2 right now). Hoping for surgery in May/June. Good luck to you!

Welcome!
