  1. same here! My skin is so dry!! 7 weeks post op!
  2. Anyone else having trouble finding fair life skim? Both my normal stores have only 2% and whole fair life. I really need my skim milk!!!!! It has been two weeks since I have been able to find it!
  3. I also thought hernia-- you do need to have it looked at. Hernias need surgical repair! ???? It might be something else too as suggested-- Congrats on your success so far!
  4. Here is the back of the patch MD B12 Energy Plus. ???? if anyone is interested...
  5. I am trying them right now and will have my labs done in January to check levels. They are easy that is for sure! They meet the minimum Vitamin requirements my doctor wanted me to get in. I do the Multivitamin, B-12plus, and VitaminD-Calcium Patches.

Was she working when you texted? Just a thought? You should still be chatting other women at this point. You might meet the love of your life while this girl is slowly responding! Dating is work- at least what I remember! ???? it should be fun too. Just be yourself and have fun! I agree with a few other posts about online dating--- expect to make contact with a lot of weirdos before you meet a few interesting people. Do you think your confidence has increased after you met with a woman in person? Good Luck with your future dating life!
  7. Salsa!! I like mine heated, mixed with cumin, dash of Salt and pepper than 2 tbsp med. salsa! Yum!!!
  8. My surgeon promotes a diet high in veggies, fruit natural nuts, and Beans with little if any animal Protein. All surgeons have different thoughts on nutrition.
  9. I was on my period during surgery-- you can't use tampons, they will provide you with pads... It's not a big deal really. I am a nurse- there a lot worse things than blood!
  10. Also this whole thread has made my day. I am sitting at home in my recliner sipping propel zero while attending live education meetings before I go back to work next week.... This thread is my only form of entertainment! Thanks!
  11. I am so glad I have no hunger at all! It makes the diet restrictions easier! I hope you can advance soon with no issues! ????
  12. 1/4 cup of the cashew "ice cream" I had was 8g of sugar similar to light and fit Greek yogurt that doesn't affect me... Never know! I am kinda glad I get dumping syndrome, but when it happens it sucks!
  13. I have had two episodes of dumping syndrome, but it is not good! The last time was right before Halloween! I do not reccomend trying cashew "ice cream" even 1/4 of a cup....... I had terrible vomitting (with nothing in pouch), dizziness, sweating, abdominal cramping, and diarehha and overall feeling of death. It lasted about 4 hours? On a positive note- I knew that trying halloween candy was out of the question!
  14. Next week I have to go back to work @ 6 weeks. I had a pretty easy recovery, no pain or complications. I have had some trouble getting Water in and advancing my diet. I stopped advancing per my surgeon and I am sticking with the soft foods that work right now. ( I will advance further at 3 months and see if it goes better!) I am a Nurse on a busy acute care floor so I am worried about returning to work. I did work night shift which I thought would be really hard coming back from surgery. I will be returning on Day shift (with a few night shifts) and have tried to pick my days spaced out so no 3 12 hour shifts in a row. I also will have no weekends until I can get on the day shift completely when a few new nurses are off orientation and on night shift. Yeah! They day shift is stressful, but at least I will be well rested so i think that will help! I know I will have trouble staying hydraed when I am on the floor. We can't have water on our mobile carts or in our hall cubbies. I can have in the break room or in the charge nurses office, but I don't have a lot of time to walk over to those areas. I will just have to make time to do it at least 2 times per hour in order keep my water intake at a decent level. If I worked a desk job I would have been go back probably by week 3? I do think the full 6 weeks is helpful to work on changing your drinking and eating habits at home!
  15. I always love your ideas! Keep experimenting!
  16. I had no dye restrictions-- I had red Jello the day after surgery in the hospital-- this is the first I have heard of this--- I am always so surprised by the different pre/post op instructions! Of course follow your pre-op instructions. ????
  17. At 2 days post op I was on liquids only anyway? No food so I didn't have meals really... Just different types of liquids- those with protein and those without.
  18. I like to read!! I like building with Legos with my kiddo! I love to Crochet. ❤️❤️ Really any type of playing is fun. I do like to color, but kids books-- I would like to branch out into the adult coloring books! Here is a scarf I made for my self last week and a Lego fort my son and I made yesterday.
  19. I like muscle milk , but I get the pro version 32 g if Protein. If I grab the 25 G protein version in the gas station they have more flavors! I like chocolate, vanilla, Cookies and cream and banana. I am not a fan of strawberry. Do you have a GNC near you? They have lots of options on powder or ready made protein drinks! My grocery store carries a lot of different shakes including muscle milk pro. Good luck!!
  20. Doesn't provide enough of what? It would be helpful if you elaborate a bit. Where are you getting your info? The printed informations meets on the Vitamins meet the guidelines my doctor gave me to follow. Just curious because your response didn't make a lot of sense as it was so vague!
  21. Both of these crunchy recipes look yummy! ????
  22. Hmmm... I haven't noticed this happening to me. Have you taken measurements to compare biceps? I would need numbers to say one side was smaller than the other! ????????
  23. I get a pain in chest if I eat a big bite, take a big drink or have a food that my pouch doesn't like- that pain is how I now I have to vomit usually--- once I get to the bathroom the food/liquid comes back up and my chest pain has resolved. My pain is sharp almost burning feeling. It is uncomfortable but it is my body's way of saying that wasn't a good choice!
