Wannabeskinnie reacted to Elode in I know this is going to be WILDLY popular... ;)
Ok! I stopped after school and got some goods! Now I just need my husband to show up with the shakes. As you can see I was serious about marking these gallon Water containers. I bought the glass mason jar because it's cute and easier to drink out of than the jug AND it's 32 oz's. I'm also very aware that it's a straw but I don't have any issues with the straw so my surgeon said its ok.

You may appreciate a little afterwards..I felt nausea and a little pain..I'm sure it would have helped with this. Some people have no appetite afterwards...I am only a week out and forget tendering my protein..I can truly see the benefits post op

Wannabeskinnie got a reaction from mel14 in 3 weeks out and eating 5-6 ounces a day....
I actually got the recipe off the world according to eggface site...she has great recipes for everything for WLS. But the quiches are simple...6 eggs, I used 4 oz of ham, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup non fat cheese..best together and fill mini muffin pans...bake 350 for 30 mins...I am not allowed any veggies yet but she has many variations including veggies..pizza style, mexican style, etc

Wannabeskinnie got a reaction from naturegirl in Cooking/meal prep for family during recovery
I prepared a bunch of freezer meals that could either be thrown into oven or crock pot. I never had any problem cooking luckily but it made life so much easier. I just asked the kids what they wanted the next night and took it out...I did make a list of what I had prepared. Pinterest had lots of freezer meals.
There are still some left, 3 months out, but most I can't gave due to Pasta or rice but once the few that are left have been eaten, I am going to make lots of WLS friendly meals as my family is trying to avoid carbs too now. It took a full day of cooking, a day ahead of recipe shopping, (for food and disposable oven ware), but my daughter had a blast helping me.

Wannabeskinnie got a reaction from Shanea in What do you do for PROTEIN?
I also like isopure...I drink the vanilla zero carb kind..I use one scoop for 25 g of Protein, add milk, ice and flavor of my choice...which at the moment is done by adding pumpkin pie spice ..reminds me of DQ pumpkin pie blizzard!...I've also added PB2 or unsweetened cocoa...it's not gritty and also had Vitamins in it.

Wannabeskinnie got a reaction from BackSpin81 in Post Op: Full Liquids
I would call your nutritionist before getting rice crackers. I was told never to those" maybe you can try sugar free Jello or sf Popsicles ..I even froze a Protein Drink into an ice cream. The head hunger is there but it does get better..hang in there! If I can do this, you can do this. I am 3 1/2 weeks out.

I'm pretty sure it was their own hard work that gave them that knowledge.

Perhaps you should thank the American medical professionals in Scripps that saved your life instead of God.

Wannabeskinnie got a reaction from CanyonBaby in Too much food?
I was told to always weigh out my food..I am 3 weeks out and now on pure Protein...no carbs, no fruit no veggies, no grains. meats, no more than 2 oz eaten slowly at a rate of one oz per ten minutes..yogurts...4-6 oz and no add ins....soup 1/2-3/4 cup only....eggs- one only...cheese , one oz...peanut or nut butter...one tablespoon. Most of the time I can not finish any of these.
Sounds like you are taking in way too much so soon...I would call your nutritionist for advice.
