Anesthesia...
Last thing-them complimenting the tattoo on my back and asking me if I was a hunter First thing-feeling very nauseated and a nurse telling me to breathe What's the LAST thing that you remember before going under the anesthesia and the FIRST thing that you remember waking up?

Juarez or Tijuana?
I am seven days post op with Dr. Ponce in Tijuana-the people were very kind and the care was wonderful-I couldn't have asked for better that way-they seemed liked they genuinely cared right down to the doctors inturn who made sure were very comfortable and had no questions or concerns once we were leaving the hospital. The whole group of people who made our trip possible and comfortable were amazing.

Information overload! So many questions
They told me the wait was two to four years but of course that was after I had been on the list for 1 and a half years and then I disappeared from it and had to start over-so the 22nd is my big day-surgery in Mexico!

Sharing before and After pics finally
You look wonderful in both photos but healthier in the second. Thanks for sharing-I know it took a lot for me to share my photos right away but I am hoping it will be another way I can inspire myself when I see changes-Im counting down. Only five days until my surgery. Thanks for being an inspiration. God bless you and yours. As of this week I finally hit a normal BMI and i promised myself when that time came I would finally share some pictures. By the way, I still do not like having my picture taken but before I hid behind everyone and because I was tall it was easy to hide the rest of me. Now I definitely am willing to get in the shot and I no longer cringe when I see the pictures. The only pics I could find before surgery were taken on a cruise with my hubby, Son and Granddaughter. These were taken 1 month before my bypass. EPSON001_000001.jpg EPSON002_000001.jpg My after was taken earlier today, down 137lbs and finally at a BMI of 24.9 DSC_0134.jpg

January or February 2016 Sleevers?
I have made that same realization myself and I am due to have surgery jan 22nd it is a struggle. Its tough when you realize how much of your day with family revolves around food, for me it is especially as a mother with three kids, all I do is cook lol and all they care about right now is "Where's dessert?!" "Can we stop by Dairy queen after practice?!" I just keep telling myself that this is a whack-load of stuff to get used to all at once and so much info out there and anyone would be overwhelmed tired and hungry. One foot in front of the other and you will feel better the closer you get. We can do this and I'd be willing to chat anytime you like:) maybe we can inspire one another.

January or February 2016 Sleevers?
Hello I am new as of today. Im from Saskatchewan Canada. I am having my surgery in Tijuana, Mexico on Jan 22 at the Mi hospital with doctor Ponce. I am on day 4 of my pre op diet(I started a week early-I think I will need it) Day after Christmas. So I definitely indulged over the holidays and am feeling quite piggish. Im not so nervous about the surgery itself but its the possible failure afterwards that scares me. Hoping to make some buddies on here as support around here is limited as far as I know. I have been looking. Excited to be a part of the group
