    I need to VENT!

Thank you !! This is the kind of thing I know I for one need to hear ! My hubby tries hard and he is great but he really has no idea what I'm going through and he doesn't know what to do when I'm crying my eyes out that Iv ruined my life. I'm trying hard but today has been a bad day, everything I try to eat upsets my tummy for some reason. I'm still fearful of food. I'm getting better though. You will have good days and you will have great days. You will have not so good and great days. But isn't that life in itself? You didn't ruin your life. You did what you had to in order to save it. Cut hubby some slack. I'm glad he's trying to help. Just grab his face through your tears, kiss him, then politely calmly tell him to shut up and hold you lol you will do great.

    I need to VENT!

My heart completely breaks for you all of you really going through what she's going through. There's not one person who's had the gastric bypass that will tell you this is not normal. I am almost 6 months out and down 100 pounds and I still cannot say I have no regrets. But what I can say is I was taking 11 pills a day and now I take none. I can say that I dropped eight sizes and I can walk anywhere and I can fit in a booth and my health has drastically improved. I know it's hard right now but you have to focus on the reason why you had surgery. Instead of focusing on how you feel right this very second because I tell you the truth three months from now you will feel differently. And you think three months is going to take forever I tell you the truth when I say that I feel like I just had my surgery this morning and I'm already six months out that's how fast time flies. Continue to vent continue to acknowledge what ever you're feeling when you're feeling it that's healthy that's what this forum is for. But I promise that this is temporary you will get through this.

Yes! I was in pain for about three weeks...when you're able to walk more you will pass gas and start feeling better. It just takes time

    Pizza?!?!

Well I had thin crust cheese pizza for the first time since December and it was yummy!!!!! It will probably be another couple months before I do it again. The crust was paper thin though and I got am 8 inch individual pizza and only ate half. It was interesting because I'm terrified of food. But no problems. I'm glad you're wise enough to know that you're going to need longer than 6 weeks before you can have it.
  8. Good for you!!!!!! You're slaying it!

    Give up

Whoa! Reading these stories certainly takes me back to a time when all I did was regret my actions and cry. I remember a friend who had a previous procedure telling me that it will get better I was in such a depressed state I didn't believe her. But believe me it does and boredom is like our worst enemy. I am three months out and down 73 pounds. As the weight comes off you'll feel better and then you'll do more. But as for right now just focus on your liquids your vitamins protein and rest. When I think back to my first week I was so depressed being three months out seemed so far away. Now I'm heading towards month four. Time truly does travel fast and I am blessed. I work out and I go to work but I feel so much better. My only concern is that you eventually I stop hating food because now eating is such a chore and I hate it. But please know that you certainly are not alone and that we have all been in your shoes and that this too shall pass
  10. Lol! Good question. I'm 3 months out and down 73 pounds. Why do people smoke? Drink too much? Smoke weed? Because they want to. My dr moved me along the process pretty fast. I've been on an unrestricted diet since 5 weeks. Personally, I'm very careful except when I have a craving. I have my little taste then I'm good. We are all blessed to not have as many problems as we should because we all take risks. Your plan to obey your dr will help you succeed!

    Weight Lost!

25 pounds is more than what I lost at 3 weeks. You're doing great. Focus on your protein, water and vitamins and the weight will come off.

    Broken Band=Broken Heart(Lost Hope)

I had the band in 2009 and had it removed in 2010 because I didn't lose anything and it hurt before the bypass in dec 2014. I agree with the other two people. They should be doing an X-ray. What if it needs to be removed? Will he repair and replace or put you through another procedure? I know this is heartbreaking but this isn't your fault. You did nothing wrong things happen with the band all the time. This is a bump in the road on your journey that's all it is mama. Do your own research and get a second opinion.
