Very nicely put, I agree with you! I am also glad that Obama's victory was sound so there will not be any election issues to deal with. Enough is enough. I missed both speeches, but caught blurbs on the morning news. Sounds like McCain was gracious and Obama was inspiring. Time to move on and get past all the negativity. Agree to disagree and get on with normal everyday life! :biggrin:

I most certainly agree, but guess what? Do you really think they are going to eat up the tax increase from their profit? I think not, it will most definately be passed onto the consumer, you and me. We will be paying the corporations higher taxes when we go shopping. I am excited for him to spread the wealth, since I have none to spread, maybe I can get somebody else's!!! Woo Hoo!!!

He stayed true to his word that he would not accept public financing for his campaign, Obama did not. He reputiated attacks on Obama, sorry to say Obama would not extend him the same courtesy. For you to say that he ran a sleezy and rage inciting, (wtf??) campaign really shows how closed your mind really is.

I guess that depends on interpretation. I have not taken his or her remarks to mean she is an expert, but an advocate, two very different things. But I digress...it's not a very important issue with me but I just wanted to point out that I don't believe they have mislead the people by calling her an expert when she is not.

He/She specifically said that she will be an ADVOCATE in the White House, I have no idea when the meaning of the word Advocate changed to mean Expert.

What? I watched the whole thing and did not see anything "hateful" from either side. Please do tell what you were watching that was "hateful"? Did you not hear some booing when Obama made the "joke" about AIG? Maybe I am the only one who heard that. Anyway, I was laughing along with Obama until that one, made me cringe a bit, not for any other reason than it pisses me off that we are bailing their asses out and they are using OUR money to go hunting and having spa treatments. That in no way shape or form can be funny to me. Sorry. I do not hesitate to admit that we for sure have our own interpretations, obviously.

I watched both McCain's speech and Obama's last night at the Memorial Dinner. I thought McCain's was really funny. Obama had his moments but I didn't think it funny when he used the housing and economy situation as a punchline. I know it was supposed to be all light and funny but he even got some boos for one particular comment about AIG. All in all, I was very entertained, who knew McCain was so funny! I didn't!

Fargo is a couple hours away from where I live, I was just visiting my sister that day. While we drove by, there were people standing there holding signs, it was really a moment for me, literally brought tears to my eyes. Maybe someday I will be able to go sit there, but I don't think I could bring myself to go near it right now. So heartbreaking.

That is such a wonderful wonderful thing you are doing Gadget! I commend your dedication and passion for the pro-life movement! You are actually getting out there and practicing what you preach, which is a lot more than most people can say. The only abortion clinic in ND is in Fargo, I've never seen it until a couple of weeks ago. My sister and I were driving around downtown at night after we ate at a pizza place and as we drove by she said that is the clinic. Chills went down my spine, I can't even explain the feeling I got just driving by, horrible feeling. Sadness. I have so much respect for you and what your doing to help this cause.

I have noticed that as well. Also, making $250,000.00 in say, California is very different than making that here in ND, so how can that be considered "fair"???
