I was sleeved 16th and I am still eating gas-x like candy

When I say I passed it, I mean I pooted louder than I have ever EVER pooted! It scared me! Just wait.. ????

My fellow 16th-er... Have you noticed any weight loss yet? Also what kind of Soups have you been eating? I'm getting bored with cream of mushroom cream of chicken and Tomato. (Not that I eat more than three bites each)

Every single day. Sometimes I still wonder if I did the right thing. Lol I know I did, you just sometimes have those thoughts.

Umm not really lol!! But I'm getting better each day. I got Premier Protein so I could get the Protein requirements with fewer shakes. They have 30 g each and I can get almost two down now and I get a bottle of Water. I had some post op issues so I got some of my Fluid from popsicles too. But I don't think I have hit the "suggested amount" yet. It's getting easier though.

My mom made fudge yesterday and my dad is cooking his AMAZING chicken and dressing right now. It's torture! I think I will lick it all so they can't have it either ... LOL!

that can be from drinking too much at once and/or gas. I still have that feeling also, sucks but my friend is 2 weeks post op and she was just able to get rid of the gas.

Still having that intense pain after I swallow right between my boobs. It hurts so so so bad & I get it every time I drink.

I got one shake and one bottle of water down today. I think it's impossible. My biggest problem is the pain when I drink. It hurts so bad that I can't do it.

This is intense sharp stabbing pain, like someone is trying to rip me apart. It worse than incision pain and gas pain combined.

Well I got discharged a couple hours ago after begging the doc to let me leave... Now I'm at home realizing I don't think I can get comfy in my bed. I am ready to be well!! I will say that the shower was amazing though! I no longer feel like I'm toting hospital germs around

I feel like I just want to eat crackers... What's up with that!!??!! (Don't worry I'm not going to)

Girl I had mine the 16th and I am still in the hospital. I have been one sick girl. I am praying I get to go home soon!

The complications I see for the most part are dehydration, nausea, & vomiting. For the most part. I have seen in the past few weeks one person who's staples were placed too close inward and could get anything down.. She eventually got better. Another had a bowel torn somehow during surgery.. And lastly a patient was discharged, ate too soon, and ended up with some MAJOR complications. For the most part it's nausea vomiting and dehydration though. I will tell you this though... We see literally at least 5 patients a week with lap band problems,!many of which are very serious. I would NEVER go that route.

I am still in the hospital. Yall are lucky you were discharged and lucky to only have minimal pain. I wish I wouldn't have had all three surgeries at one time. I am having pure hell! Nausea, vomiting (minimal thank God), and intense pain. I looked at all my op sights and I am covered with staples instead of dermabond, which is weird because he always uses glue. I can't drink either without sharrrrp pains in the mid epigastric area. Not sure he will let me go home tomorrow either. I'm just glad y'all are doing well.

I am in severe pain, but they said it would hurt worse since I had my gallbladder out and a hietal hernia repair. I can sip my Water fine.. But I get a sever sharp pain afterward. The gas pain is hell too! I have 9 surgical areas and all but 1 of the sights have 2 staples each, but one had 4 staples and another has my jp drain in it.

BAD! I am having surgery 12/16/14 and I am so nervous it's crazy! I think it's because I work on the surgical floor that cares for all the post op sleeve patients including the ones who have negative experiences. I just cared for a patient who had a VERY bad group of issues related to her sleeve and it was MY surgeon. Now I am freaked out beyond belief. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. I'm the only parent and my kids need me in tip top shape asap!
