Cravings issue

Recommended Posts

Good day my fellow sleeves. I had my surgery on the 16th and so far so good. Although a chore I manage to get my liquids in every today. Today was a struggle because I woke up super late and was not able to get all my ounces in per hour. I drink chocolate Protein Shakes but today I back slid. I had 4 little pieces of dove chocolate and litterlally just sucked on it until it melted in my mouth. Now I'm having horrible stomach issues. Do anyone know if this will subside? Did I totally mess up what the Dr did? Thanks!!!!

It will subside but you're going to be uncomfortable for a while. I'd suggest anything you get rid of anything in the house that might tempt you. You don't want to sabotage your surgery.

I had the same thing happen today! I received a Christmas present in the mail from a friend in another state and she included Ghirardelli chocolates. I sucked on one that was caramel filled and was sick for 30 minutes! I promptly gave the chocolates to my neighbors who are hosting Christmas tomorrow :) I think it was a good thing. Now we know what happens and it is NOT worth feeling sick by eating chocolate. I can eat chocolate sugar-free and/or bariatric puddings, so that's what I'll stick to. I did text my friend, thanked her for the gifts, and did let her know I had to give the chocolate away because it made me sick. My friends have always brought food/chocolate, so it will be up to me to keep educating them, giving it away, and taking care of myself. I'm glad you're feeling better!! :)

My mom made fudge yesterday :( and my dad is cooking his AMAZING chicken and dressing right now. It's torture! I think I will lick it all so they can't have it either ... LOL!

Only kidding

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
