I had BCBS and found that I got the best answers from talking with their customer service.

tart reacted to Miss Mac in Support...Struggling to be supportive!
Make two lists: Concerning your relationship, What's in it for him? What's in it for you?
Instead of thinking "I love him, so why does he treat me this way?" start thinking "Why would I love someone who treats me this way?"
    Why are you still there?
When your lease is up, move out and leave him there to deal with the landlord and sheriff. You make your own money and are supporting the both of you, even though he apparently does not contribute.
He needs someone he can control, and you need someone who values your opinions. He does not care about your health, but expects you to support his. It sounds like neither one of you is good for the other.
There is no good excuse to perpetuate a mistake. You don't need a marriage - you need distance. For all the inconvience involved in parting ways, the peace of mind is worth it.
(This comes from a woman who escaped from a diagnosed psych/sociopath in the middle of the night and spent some time in a women's shelter - I moved 300 miles away). My opinion may sound harsh, but life is too short to waste time with a jerk.

tart got a reaction from BeagleLover in Sleep Study
I had no idea that I had such severe sleep apnea. I thought I was so tired because of my weight. but I was tired because I stopped breathing around 40 times each hour.
For the past 7 weeks I have slept and I feel really good. My surgeon requires all patients to have the test and it is one of the many blessings of my life that I had the sleep study.

tart got a reaction from BLERDgirl in Weight loss after sleeve?
I had my sleeve on 12-19 and I have lost ZERO after week 1. so tracking food, liquids and Protein has not made any difference. I walk the dogs everyday and do stationary bike 20 minutes each day. I am going tomorrow to join a gym and get a trainer now that I am 4 weeks out from surgery. it is really hard to eat so little and have no changes. I am staying away from the scale and using sparkpeople website to track food, exercise and measurements. I guess the difference in having a diet that does not work and the sleeve is that I can't quit the sleeve.

I was feeling really frumpy, I work from home and rarely wear makeup. after my surgery my face looked slimmer so I went and got a haircut. man, what a difference. I have been putting on a little makeup and wearing a size smaller jeans..the haircut really made me feel better.

I hate to cook, but I found I wanted something better than canned Soups. I have gotten several recipes from the world according to Eggface, as well as from searching on Pinterest. Since I am starting a new way of life, I might as well cook. And yes, I consider scrambling an egg is cooking to me!

I got the sleeve because I liked the idea of grehlin hormone level being drastically reduced. I wanted something permanent. I started with a lower BMI than most and based on my research, the sleeve seemed the best fit for me..

Maybe you should get up and move.
FYI, I lost 10.4 pounds my first month post-op. And I was moving.

I had little to no pain unless I sneezed! I think pain is different for everyone. But if you get up and walk as soon as you can it will go easier for you. the worst part after surgery was I could not drink anything until they did an upper GI to make sure my tummy had no leaks.

I only tried mixed berry so far. I don't really like them at all, but easier to drink them right now. Protein shakes are hard to finish and for some reason I don't like to drink them after they sit in fridge. I know most folks sip on a shake all day...... but I don't want too.

I hate to be cheap, because logically if Isopure has so much more Protein they should cost more. Unfortunately, my limited budget dictates the cheaper choice.

I am sort of in the same boat 15 days out and the scale stopped moving 5 days ago. trying to do everything right, has rained for the past week so no walking. I really thought it would be a steady loss. hanging in there, but wanted more!! food tastes funny, struggling to get enough Protein

tart reacted to GaNanny in One week post op - things I've come to know
Tomorrow is my one week anniversary.
Things I have come to know:
The date took forever and arrived quickly all at the same time!
When I woke up in recovery I was in a lot of pain and wanted ice/water so bad I would have sold my sole to get it. I had to wait on the ice chips, but I did get something for the pain.
I asked for pain meds when I needed them... And took them when offered. I wasn't out to be anyones hero!
The "gas" pain settled in my back... It was as bad as the stomach pain. Thank goodness it was gone by Friday.
Of all the things I carried to the hospital the only thing I used was my house shoes and my house coat for walking. I didn't care about my cell phone, iPad, music, ebooks.... Nothing... I slept, I walked, I slept some more.
Once home a hot shower felt so good... But I stayed in to long.... I was almost sick I have to be careful every day... I love the hot Water but it can't stay in long.
Either from sleeping on my stomach or over compensating for my stomach I had a BAD back ache starting Friday until Monday. Some days it hurt more than my stomach.
Taking my meds (thyroid, BP, and bladder) was easy the first couple of days, now I have to spread them out or I feel sick.
I haven't taken any pain meds during the day since Sunday... Only at night the last two days. I'm going to try tonight with no pain meds and see how I sleep.< /p>
I don't like milk, never have. The first couple of days I was getting in broth or water.... Very little milk. Now I focus on the milk. My stomach is more sensitive now then the first couple of days. Today I will get in my 32 oz of milk and a spoon full of Jello. If I feel weak I drink apple juice/water... About 1/4 cup. But I have to drink the milk! I add sugar free caramel sauce to get it down. Sometimes I drink it cold... Mostly warm.
I went out to Breakfast with my husband and friends Sunday after surgery.. I simply told them that I had surgery and the doctor had me on a liquid diet. I carried my milk in a thermal cup and poured it in the cup from the restaurant a little at a time..... I sipped my milk and had a great time!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve... I'm glad I had my surgery! People eating around me doesn't bother me... This is my present to myself and my family... I healthier me in the New Year!
