I am 2 and a half weeks post op and haven't seen the scale move in about a 5 days.. Majority of my initial weight loss was in the first week 13lbs then 4lbs and now a stand still (I'm trying not to stalk the scale) How do i over come this plateau? I've tried walking more but it is still painful.. Feels good while walking but once I stop and rest my ribs/where my bigger incisions are hurt bad for a day or 2.. Just started mushy food 3 days ago so I'm adding to my calorie intake and its hard to walk it off but I do move around as much as possible.... Any suggestions?

You will start losing again. Just keep doing what you are doing. I had a 5 day stall during week 2 and then went right back to losing. Your body is still healing.

I am sort of in the same boat 15 days out and the scale stopped moving 5 days ago. trying to do everything right, has rained for the past week so no walking. I really thought it would be a steady loss. hanging in there, but wanted more!! food tastes funny, struggling to get enough Protein

Yes, my suggestion is to stay off of the scale. Also, walking is important and should be done but not at the expense of causing pain for a day or two afterwards.

Take it easy and just focus on Protein and hydration. Oh, and stay off of the scale. =)

I had a stall from week 3 until 5 then lost almost 10 pounds in a week. I didn't do anything different other than quit stepping on the scale everyday. I only weigh once a week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
