    Feeling disappointed and unsure

The sleeve is the way to go, faster recoup time, less cutting...get another opinion,..my doctor is a Bariatric spec....check the internet in your area or within a few miles, this procedure is getting popular.

Thank you,.I think each doctor is different cause I saw my surgeon for a consult on Oct 16, 5 day's later I received the call that I was approved, all I had to do was blood work, chest x-ray, & last visit before the surgery to my pcp,...I feel very fortunate that it went so smooth,..have been on a full liquid diet since Nov 4th, no a morsel of food!! Dropped almost 10 lb's!! Maybe it's because I'm 74 and they want to do this has fast as possible! Ha!

I found the best drink thus far, it's called Fuzzy Navel, I ordered box of 10 just to try,it is way better then the shakes, of course I drink both but this drink sort of helps break up the bordom....check out SupplementWarehouse.com official site, going to try a few other flavors. My date is Tues Nov18, saw my PCP today and he cleared me,..nothing else to do but pack my bag!!

Also bought a book called' weight loss surgery cook book for dummies'...takes you from appetizers thru to deserts! very good book! Great info on Snacks that was helpful...along with meal's do's an don'ts...one thing that I didn't know was white flour Pasta sticks together in your stomach making to hard to digest, now I don't eat white flour pasta but ya never know if your at a friend's house and that is what he or she cooked,..whole wheat is best...just say'n.

I just ordered a drink from' Supplementwarehouse.com' called Fuzzy Navel, had good reviews, I can't take this powder that I bought to much longer. The Fuzzy Navel is a powdered juice....so we'll see.

  14. Hi Jenn, thanks for the come back,...doing real good on the liquid diet, almost a week now, I just keep telling myself it is all for the better, then of course my knee's remind me that they are tired of carrying me! Going to pack my bag this week so I won't forget anything,..really haven't had a down day, which is great! Bought the book Alex Brecher wrote, takes you from the beginning thru after post-op. You can reach me at..cjc81@comcast.net...would love to stay in touch thru this journey. If you fall just pick your self up and keep going,it is worth it, you have a full life ahead of you!
  15. Hi ,Jenn...my date is Nov18th,..nervous and my wt was 300, been on the 14 day liquid diet, so far so good, down but won't get on the scale till I see my pcp on Wed. I also worried bout complications but the weight is doing more damage the longer I keep it, also I'm going to be 75, wish this procedure was out yr's ago! Can't wait ti start my new live and looking forward to a few more healthy yr's...Good luck to you....stay positive, it's worth it!!
