  3. Yay for the clearance! Hopefully with time you will get rid of that cpap for good! Surgery is scary but it's also a wonderful life changer! Good luck on your journey!
  4. I'm going to the gym....for real this time! And I'm NOT going on the 1st, maybe a Day or week after just so it won't have the "New Years resolution" stigma attached to it. That little bastard fails me every time! I'm smarter this year! So tomorrow the hubs is taking me shopping for cute workout gear. I made that "buy my wife cute clothes all year" resolution for him! I know sweet huh!!!!!
  5. I'm not quite there yet but I hope to be soon!
  6. @ Waiting stinks! It does seem like you've been in the process for awhile now! Hopefully they will give you an answer soon!
  7. Your not doing Anything wrong you probably just hit a plateau. It should pass, just stick with your plan! Good luck! As far as tips some people claim upping the calories can help break a stall. I can't say that for a positive because I haven't experienced it.
  8. Wow! Sounds like your doing great getting that all in so early out!!congrats!
  9. That's an ok thing! You will just evolve into a new "normal".
  10. I love chick peas and avocados...never thought to put the two together though. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Congrats on your progress and success!
  12. @@applegal79 Hi! My belly makes lost of little noises sometimes (often) it's not from me eating too fast ect...it's just the belly Working on digesting. If you feel like it's hurting or any pain then just take one less bite before you feel full. Even if your not you can always go back after awhile and eat a little more. I started that from the beginning And I've never had to go back and eat anymore. Also if your not already weigh your food out so you know how many oz your taking in. Good luck!
  13. It gets easier! I did it a little over two months ago and I've already forgot about it. Stay strong!
  14. Sounds like you have some orthostatic hypotension going on (blood pressure drops out when you stand up too fast) it can be common after surgery, you should consult with your DR most onset cases like that will eventually go away on there own. Just take your time getting up sloooowly in stages. Stay hydrated!!
  15. Congrats that's awesome!
  16. It stinks but it's just one of those things you have to wait for your body to catch up on. I know it's hard especially when we aren't suppose to have any caffeine to help. Just try to get as much rest/sleep as you can right now and don't feel guilty about laying in bed!
  17. Sounds like your well on your way, congratulations!
  18. Usually like to night my husband is going thru a drive thru (Taco Bell) I got nothing. I will make my own food here at the house so I know whats going into my body. Yesterday was my 16 yr old daughters birthday so I took the family to cheddars (the home of nothing healthy) waitress asked what I wanted I told her nothing. I would share off my family's plate. She brought me a small plate and I Ate a few bites of my girls grilled chicken and a couple mushrooms. I've decided it's pointless to buy food out because I can't eat it. We went to Hardee's and I ordered a turkey burger wrapped in lettuce instead of bread But could only manage 3 bites so as of now I'm done ordering myself food out! Too much wasting. If soup were an option I'd go somewhere that offered a healthy soup.
  19. Hi! Welcome.just follow your surgeons advice. Get your protein, fluids, and vitamins in.
  20. I don't really snack but if I do it would be a quest bar and of course I am addicted to my chai decaf tea with Splenda and teaspoon of cream (if you consider that a snack) sorry thats really all I got. I try not to snack but I should eat more. In the beginning I liked fancy little meats and cheeses if you can even have that kinda stuff?
  21. Just follow the plan and it should work. I know mine did but I didn't get an option to eat anything it was all liquid for two weeks.
