Not telling people at work...
I tell everyone that asks, I tell them that it is still work (my treadmill can attest) but that with this tool I am able to be a better me. I do not now, nor ever care what anyone thinks about me or my decision. I tell people because they or someone they know may be suffering with this also!

is this a stall?
I have never weighed myself daily. It would bum me out if I didn't see progress, our bodies are too complicated and what you see on the scale is dependent on so many factors it's hard to pin point. I have weighed twice a week since surgery and I feel it gives me enough info to up my game if I need to without making me crazy.

Quinoa or couscous, after surgery?

Not telling people at work...
What I have found is that most people are really supportive, not judgmental. I really hope that whatever you do, it works for you. Good luck and keep us posted!

Help, I'm stuck.
I concur with the above. I log everything, even the two wintogreen lifesavers I just ate at my manicure place (30 cal, btw). If that doesn't work, call your nutritionist.

Not telling people at work...
I told my boss and anyone else who asks. A) I don't care what anyone thinks about it and if anyone needs help with weight loss, having someone to ask may be helpful. Everyone has been amazingly supportive and kind.

Drinking from a straw
My doctor said it was fine.

Eat Time
The idea is that the longer it takes you to eat, the better the signal from your stomach to your brain, telling it that you are full. The longer you stay full. If it takes 25 minutes to eat (what my doctor recommends), you should stay full for 5 1/2 hours. I was told to wait one minute between each bite, taking only marble sized bites.

When will I begin to feel like myself?!
You may want to check with your doctor to make sure you don't need supplemental vitamins or minerals. I don't know how far out you are, but you shouldn't be tired.
