Lightheaded

It's seems like the past few days I've been light headed and dizzy. The dizziness is mostly upon standing up or moving directions quickly. I just feel very out of the "norm" the last few days. This weekend was much more active than I have been since surgery. I'm at three weeks out on Thursday. I'm trying to hey fluids in and have been around 40-50oz a day. Anyone else experience this?

  • I had the same thing about that same time out too. Saw my dr and I ended up having to get hydration at the hospital-all symptoms went away by the next day. I was drinking the required amount of water

I haven't experience this but it seems that some individuals get low blood pressure after surgery. The general advice is to make sure you are getting enough fluids and salt. Also if you were on high

  • I get like this every once in a while and I have drink more. Doctor said it happens when you are dehydrated.

I haven't experience this but it seems that some individuals get low blood pressure after surgery. The general advice is to make sure you are getting enough fluids and salt. Also if you were on high blood pressure meds prior to surgery and are still taking some now, it may be time to begin to phase off the meds. Check with your doctor. Also this symptom can happen if you are not taking sufficient B12.

I am 11 months out and still get light headed when I stand up sometimes

I had that. Didn't get any treatment but used a walker to get around so I didn't fall down. Things got better for me when I was able to eat more. I also started drinking G2 and SF Powerade because I wasn't tolerating the Vitamins I was on.
