I agree with everyone, shop at thrift and Goodwill stores because you won't be in that size very long. What feels good is seeing clothes fit better and better instead of buying stuff that fits around our widest dimension.

I suggest...first dig back through stuff you've packed away saying "I will wear this again." You'll be amazed at the store you have right in your storage bins or in the back of drawers. And doing this digging will be exciting and tedious--if you're like me and have a bunch of clothes you haven't worn. 'New with tags' for days! Some things are outdaited, but not all!! But again, it's fun. "Wow! Look at this! Wow. I can wear this now! Oh yeah!"
I would NOT pay any big money. Wal-mart, $14 jeans was my first purchase, when I was 3 months post VSG.

This has been the longest week of my life! But finally my surgery date is TOMORROW! I am so excited!
I will only be missing one day of school if everything goes well and we have a 4 day weekend because of MLK Day on Monday so I'll have some time to recover.
My mother offered to drive me around to my classes until I feel better about driving and I don't have to go back to work for 2 weeks!
It's going to be a tough semester but it will be well worth it!

Stay off it. Go take your measurements, and I mean all of your measurements, and use that as your guide of success.
Drink your Water, eat your Protein, take your Vitamins, and move your body. Oh, and stay off of that scale. =)

We have all been there. People who notice a difference in us as we lose the weight. on the other hand we get upset if they don't notice....It is a very hard thing to handle because we are so used to hiding out of site so no one looks at us too long.
Until you are more comfortable just thank them and say you are working on being healthier. Smile wide and go on your way...Maybe in the future you will yell it from the roof top..who knows but it will be up to you what you want to do and how comfortable you are to do it....
Congrats by the way on being noticed because of a loss!
