Is being fat the worse thing a person could be?
@@une nouvelle vie In reference to JK thats my exact point. While I am not judging her character based on her "characters" (cuz lets be honest, if we did that than Stephen King would be in trouble) it seems that eventhough they were fat, and described horribly, it was NOT the worst thing about them.

Is being fat the worse thing a person could be?
This is something I've pondered over and over. I've been in so many conversations where people have said things like: "She's getting fat" "I'm so fat" "My son and nephew brought home two girls and I was just hoping my son wasn't dating the fat girl" "Don't eat that or you'll get fat" I'm not saying I like being fat. But it certainly isn't the worse thing about me.

Has anyone become single as a result of their weight loss surgery?
I recently went to a weightloss seminar and they said divorce rates are high after WLS. Something to do with the person having more confidence. But I personally don't think that's it. I've noticed that a lot of obese people will settle on partners that they know isn't right for them, just for the sake of having someone. It's not until they lose weight that they realize they can do better.

I'm Only 16
@@adrianacanulli I know your pain. I am so happy to hear that you are taking control now. When I was 16 years old I was at my heaviest weight 285lbs....Now that I am 29 Ive only managed to lose about 60 of those pounds and have gained back 30. I wish I had surgery as an option in 2002. Good luck in your Weight loss journey!

Maintaining Her down there
My age group is obsessed with pubic hair removal...its quite disturbing when women come into the clinic for their annual exams and they say things like "Oh, I havent shaved yet"....lol...I am constantly telling ladies that they dont have to...at least not for me.

Insurance doesn't cover surgery.
Sorry for your struggles. A lot of folks have had success with the physicians in Mexico and costs about $5000...look into it. Theres even a support group on this site for people sleeved in Mexico. Also, check your job and see when they'll have open enrollment. You may be able to switch to a carrier that does cover your insurance.

Maintaining Her down there
Sometimes I do nothing aka Au Natural Sometimes I use a battery operated trimmer. I try and refrain from shaving, it really isn't healthy (I'm a midwife...trust me).

Birth control options
That's interesting that someone would even prescribe that to you over 200lbs. I only say this cuz I'm a midwife and I work in OB/Gyn. But kudos to you! I say if it works then stick with it!

What are you telling people at home and at work?
No one in this world is perfect. You may not lie about WLS but you've got flaws. Check with the man in the mirror before you check another.

Birth control options
Just a heads up. The contraceptive patch aka Ortho Evra is not recommended for people more than 190lbs. Something to do with large amounts of fat and hormone absorption.

When you can't even be honest with yourself
Here's the thing. I do not think people should lie about their WLS and use other surgeries as a cover up...that just seems like bad Mojo to me. But when it come to keeping secrets, it's one of the things I could never understand because I am such an open book. For example, I have a good friend who has been SUPER secretive since we were kids in high school and it always drove me nuts. Recently, I found out through a mutual friend that she married some Nigerian guy so he could get his papers and she kept that a secret too! After while I accepted her secrets and realized that it's not really my business to get her to be open. Truth is, people are gonna have MANY reasons to keep MANY things a secret...and it's our job to mind our own business and love them or stop dealing with them if you can't handle it. As for me, I decided to keep my WLS a secret until after the surgery. I do think it's important to share my story so others can get help but I will do it on my own time. No one, within this world and especially under this thread is without flaws. To think otherwise would be BS.

What is everyone NOT going to miss after sleeve?
It just dawned on me that I've been following this thread but hadnt actually answered the question. So here goes: I wont miss... Not being the right type of BBW (Big beautiful women). Most guys who like BBW's want the ones with big booty. Being the fat girl in the group of slim or normal sized women. Being invisible or ignored by the opposite sex. Being told "you're pretty for a fat girl"...or "you're cute but...." Being judged by how I look on the outside and not by who I am on the inside Being LIMITED to plus size clothing. Dont get me wrong, plus sized clothes are cute but sometimes I see things in regular sizes that I really wanna buy. Not being able to look in the mirror because I HATE my shape. The back fat and upper butt fat HAS TO GO! Being home alone on weekends and watching everyone on Instagram and Facebook go out on dates or get married Getting nervous about weight requirements for things like horseback riding or ziplining. Feeling like my health is gonna fade me and that Diabetes and High blood pressure are inevitable. Worrying that I may never have children due to PCOS complications Not being able to jog (even though I really want to) because I feel so heavy, have knee pain, and Asthma. Lastly, I will not miss failing at weight loss over and over again. I know that VSG is only a tool and that I will have to work hard for real results and I am ready. NO MORE FAILURE. NO MORE EXCUSES!
