  1. What I did the weekend before my surgery was cook cook cook and freeze freeze freeze. I made all sorts of things and just stuck it in the freezer. I thought the same thing you did that I would have a hard time. So when DH came home at night I had something defrosted for him. Breakfast & lunch he did himself. But I had to feed my DD who's 4. That was easy, a quick pnutbutter & jelly sand, or some ckn nuggets thrown in the oven wasn't a killer. If you don't wanna cook get him some frozen hungry man dinners or something like that. Lots of times grocery stores will have premade foods you can pick up that are not frozen. He'll live LOL. You'll do just fine.
  2. GasX does help and walking, drink lots of Water. I got wicked hunger pains where I would stop in my tracks so it could be that too. I was on Clear liquids and starving. Hunger HURTS !!!! Hope your feeling better.
  3. And the mother just sat there the entire time motionless? I say smack the mother b/c she taught them no manner nor did she try to during the meal.... 50 something or not. You should call them P1 and P2 (pig1 pig2) LOL. I work with this guy who just turned 50 and every time we go out to lunch with the department he does something that grosses me out. One time he farted at the table and it stunk to high heaven. We all knew who did it and he acted like it was nothing, he also burps out loud. I mean if you gotta burp, put a napkin in front of your mouth and let it out easy not blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Glad they are gone for your sake Penni.... ick, how skin crawing (chester brothers LOL). I was wondering, how many face lifts has the mother had to look like she's younger than her swine boys?
  4. Chunk you little devil LOLOL !!!!! where there's a will ROFL.
  5. Welcome !! Now go gentle on yourself just cause you feel good. Heal heal heal !! Hugs !!!
  6. I agree with Laura, once you see the scale start to go down it makes you feel better. I also believe that the first few weeks are the worst b/c you can't eat solid food and this makes it hard when you go out or you see others eating. But remember this too shall pass. Now that i can go out and eat, or at least get Soup, I feel better and I don't feel like an outcast. You'll be okay and when your kids see you smiling b/c your losing the weight and feeling good, you'll be even more happy.
  7. Everyone is different, I for one was in alot of pain after the surgery b/c of the gas. But by day 3 I was feeling so much better, day 4 I was shopping (not alot but in the grocery store). I also was off of the pain meds after day 2. My friend who had the surgery was up and running (figuretively speaking) with no pain and back to work in 2 weeks. Here's a link to the very same question with details http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=11616
  8. Good Morning, and Happy Monday How is everyone this beautiful Monday? did you all stay OP this weekend? I'm staying home this morning and so is DD. DH needs my car to take his Mom to the Dr's today and I'm not in the mood for driving his cargo van all over the place. I threw my back out 2 days ago and I'm walking like a 90 year old man so its best I just relax today anyway. I have a bad spine and I've been trying to watch when I bend down not to hurt my stomach and I guess it just went out because of that. Zan the shore sounded really nice, I'm glad you had a good time and hopefully your not overtired lol. I believe next week I'll be able to eat REAL food just in time for Turkey Day, but I'm gonna pass on the turkey and stuffing and eat just about everything else Watcha got planned for today folks ?
  9. Cindy I like your new avitar Sounds like you had a great time with DD. Times like that are so special, enjoy !!! Pat, Pat, Pat.... so when can I come down I stared at the picture for about 5 minutes and found myself lost in the waves. They are beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing them. Beanie, Betty, Ira, Lisa, Zan, RespGirl and all you other wacky people, where are you?

I'll be able to eat regular food for thanksgiving but I'm not going near the stuffing or turkey, (I'm not wild about turkey anyway), but what I will have is the sweet potatoes, butternut squash, taters, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie mmmmmmm !! I have to eat with my inlaws and I'm hoping they won't notice I'm not eating much b/c they don't know I was banded If they say anything I'll just say I'm not that hungry LOL.
  12. I was banded on a monday and aunt flo visited on wednesday, freaked me out b/c my first thought was I'm bleeding from the surgery HELP, then I said hmmmmmmm DUH!!! LOL When you go to the hospital you'll have plenty of time to clean yourself up so don't worry, but tell the nurses. Hugs and GOOD LUCK !!!
  13. Bandayed I had tuna the past few days and it really went down well, I chewed the mush until it almost melted in my mouth and the tuna even had onions and celery in it, maybe you need to chop it up more? Your chili sounds devine. I'm supposed to start mushies tomorrow but I'm going nuts so I started on friday. I made some mashed cauliflower today mmmm mmmm. Charlie, I really do feel for you, I can't wait to take a bite of something "normal" lol.
  14. I agree with Vines, you really don't wanna play with pills. Call your doctor, and be careful.

  18. Good Morning Its a perfect day for November. How is everyone today? Gonna run to church and then to see MIL, they say she's coming home on Wednesday I went out to eat yesterday and got the tuna platter. It had like 2 lbs of tuna salad, 2 lbs of potato salad, coleslaw and lets just say 90% is home with me LOL. I could have eatten more except DH was getting impatient waiting for me AND I was afraid to over do it. I think I'll stick w/soup for a while when I go out LOL. How are you all doing ?
