Has anyone managed to have their band removal paid by insurance that doesn't cover any weight-loss procedures. I have cyclic vomiting that is pretty bad, and based on what I've read, may have erosion starting.

My husband says I am going to Atlanta no matter what. That is the week before my birthday, so I am hoping he will go with me and we can make a bit of a celebration of it. It is only about a 4.5 hour drive to the airport area for me and with the special deal on the room, you really can't beat it.

I would love to go on the cruise, but just don't see how it would be financially feasible for me from South Carolina. That would make for one expensive vacation! Have you heard about the Lighten Up expo in Atlanta in January?

I ahve never worn mineral make up but have been curious about it and hated to spend $15 or more just to try it and possibly not like it. I went to the Everyday Mineral site and it looks great! Broccoli is one of the most common problem foods for bandsters. The tops are ok, but the stems won't go through. That was the first food I got stuck on. Just thought I would mention that little tidbit. Good luck!

Also keep in mind that you are still pretty swollen in there, so that may be effecting what you see at this point. Mine sticks out somewhat too, but no one would notice and I am expecting to have a revision eventually. My port is on top of the lower part of my rib cage, so pretty close to the surface, but much easier to find for fills the nurse says.

I have had 2 fills and am at 6.5 cc's in my 10 cc band. I go for another fill today. I have lost 40 pounds so far, but am not yet at my sweet spot and am hoping to get a little closer today. I know it will take some tweeking as I lose, but it is going to be SO worth it! Good luck!
