Has anyone managed to have their band removal paid by insurance that doesn't cover any weight-loss procedures.

I have cyclic vomiting that is pretty bad, and based on what I've read, may have erosion starting.

I also had issues with my band for a few years. Vomiting and weight gain. It was found that i did have erosion, and the insurance did pay to have it taken out. I believe that at the point of erosion, it is a risk to your health. Which should turn the situation from weight lose to medically necessary. After the band was taken out, the insurance did pay to have the sleeve done nine months later. I wish you the best..
