  1. It sounds like you are doing great. Are you tracking your food? What are you eating? Are you getting in all of your Protein and fluids? Are you avoiding starches, added sugars , and fried foods? Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements? Are you exercising? Have you talked to your NUT lately about your concerns? Without more information it is hard to offer suggestions.
  2. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. Embrace the Stall! http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
  3. I hope you meant grams and not milligrams. Follow your surgeon's instructions for your situation. It sounds like you are doing great. I would have to disagree that more than 95 grams of protein is toxic for most people, though. My minimum is 100 grams a day and it is working for me so far.
  4. Right after surgery it was usually a burp. The worst has been hiccups. Now, if I eat too much I sneeze. It doesn't happen very often because I am careful about my portions and try to take small bites, chew thoroughly, and eat slowly. If I don't take small bites, chew thoroughly, and eat slowly, then I am more likely to sneeze.
  5. I was told to take my Iron with C and to not take near the same time I take Calcium (or eat high calcium foods). Since you are three years post-op, how long have you been anemic? Did this just happen or has your iron been low for a while? I am just curious. I was anemic pre-op, but so far have not had an issue post-op (probably because I no longer have severe menstrual bleeding since I started menopause and have been taking supplements). I hope you start feeling better soon!
  6. I am on puree, they did gave me one but it doesn't say anything about popcorn lol Sent from my SM-G925T using the BariatricPal App Well there you go. If it's not on the approved list then don't eat it.
  7. The early phases are all about texture. Don't you have a list of approved foods for your post-op phases? In the first weeks and months after surgery I didn't put anything in my mouth without consulting my post-op nutrition manual.
  8. I am a big fan of Water exercise. Try taking some water aerobics classes. Most have cardio and weights/resistance exercise built in. You may also want to see if you can get a personal trainer to show you exercises and weight routines that are appropriate for your physical abilities and goals.
  9. I agree with @Kindle. How much we lose and how fast is such a relative number. How well are you doing at reaching your Protein and Fluid goals? That said, my one year Surgiversary is coming up in a couple of weeks and have lost over 200 pounds.
  10. What phase are you on? I liked ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates, ProtiDiet creamy chicken and tomato basil Soups. WonderSlim protein puddings, and
  11. Just because your husband buys you donuts and fries things doesn't mean you have to eat it. Try going back to basics: Follow your program. Track your food. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Avoid starches, added sugars, fried foods. Take your Vitamins and supplements as instructed. And, exercise. I suggest you make an appointment with your NUT to talk about your challenges and goals. In addition, you may want to make an appointment with a counselor or therapist.
  12. We used to be able to search the whole site with the app but with the latest update that capability went away. Alex said he was trying to correct it. In the meantime, you have to search by forum.
  13. I am convinced that even though Diet Coke is considered "sugar free" our bodies don't know that and respond just like you are drinking sugar.
  14. Enjoy your new home. I think that is how I want to go, quietly, at home, in my sleep, at an extremely old age.
  15. For me, I have to eat every few hours in order to get in all of my Protein. If I only ate three meals and no Snacks I would 1) be short in protein and 2) be pretty hangry most of the time. I have to track my food or I would have no idea whether or not I was meeting my protein target. My memory is so bad I can't remember what I ate 10 minutes ago.
  16. I am so glad you made it to the other side (with or without your dignity). Yes, you are important to Him and to us, too!
  17. Be careful and don't drink all of that at once. We only metabolize about 20-25 grams of protein at a time so you would need to divide this up three ways to get benefit of all of the protein.
  18. Welcome and best of luck with your surgery! Once your incisions are healed being in the pool will be great exercise. In the meantime, you'll have to find a way to move some, especially when dealing with the post-surgery gas. Your physical capabilities pre-op will help determine what you can do immediately post-op. Let us know how we can help and encourage you on this life-changing journey. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
  19. What an inspiration. You are so very lucky to have his example. It really is never too late to change your life.
  20. Climbing the Cape Hatteras lighthouse was memorable but that was decades ago. Now, I still have trouble with one flight of stairs.
  21. The most important number is your Protein target. Your calories will be relative/dependent on that. What is your protein target?
