boosh10 got a reaction from Dee951 in soft food stage
How are you getting in all your Protein? From shakes or from foods? There's no way to get in all protein from foods since i can't eat that much. I'll drink a Premier Protein but that's only 30 grams, and that leaves me to get in another 30+. So, I guess I should just continue with 2 shakes a day?? I would much rather to do it with food. Ugh....I'm having a tough time doing this.

boosh10 reacted to Bufflehead in When is Hot Sauce ok to have post surgery?
@@monopoly2015 I was allowed to have hot sauce once I advanced to purees (for me that was at four weeks out), and one of the first things I had was refried Beans with hot sauce. I also did pureed tuna with hot sauce and poached egg drenched in hot sauce. It never gave me any trouble. I do have a sleeve of steel though, just like before my surgery I had a stomach of steel. No food ever bothers me. I am pretty sure I could live on a diet of old t shirts and tin cans

Ahhhh @tauruslady5...
I knew someone would have to throw their smartas* comment in to be an a**hole. But hey, I like smarta**es and a**holes alike.
So to reply to you... I'm glad they fixed your brain at the same time and made you diet superwoman. I mean surely you weren't perfect before and that's the reason you had to have the surgery in the first place. I'm also sure you're the first one now to point out the fat a**es since you've lost all your weight AND doing it perfectly. Fabulous for you, Hun. Keep being your supportive self!'
Much love!! ????

Oh I'm struggling the same with this unquenchable thirst. Everyone keeps telling me that I must not be taking in enough fluids but I do intake about 60oz a day and that should be able normal. I even wake up in the middle of the night to sip. I had a dream I was chugging Water the other night that's how bad it had been, I guess the ice chips thing has sort of helped but on a very limited bases, The sipping does not last forever but until then hang in there and eventually normal drinking will resume! Good luck!

A good friend of mine who was sleeved suggested making crystal light ice cubes, putting them in a baggie, and crushing them, then chewing on those. Helps you satisfy your desire to chew, and helps get fluids in!

Nutrition stores have Oh Yeah Protein Shakes that are 32g Protein each. I grab a 32oz cup and FILL it with ice then pour the shake over it. Takes about 3 hours to drink it.

Here's a link to my recipe for my favorite Mexican puree dish. I literally lived on this stuff for weeks and weeks when Frankensleeve would not tolerate anything else.

I agree with everyone else. Don't let anyone else make this decision for you. People think this a cosmetic procedure. They also erroneously think that diets work. Neither is true! Over 90% of peope who lose weight on diets gain it back, and usually end up heavier than before they started.
I have so much more energy already. I'm loving working out. I find myself running to get places when I'm not even in that much of a hurry! I've just got energy and am enjoying the freedom I now have to break into a run anytime. I'm certainly much less concerned about an early death due to an obesity-related illness. This surgery is truly life-changing.
Yes, there are risks. But the benefits outweigh the risks by miles.
