  1. Good luck and speedy recovery! I'll volunteer to be a virtual angel, and I'm kinda close: in Denton! Maybe the healing vibes and prayers will be stronger? PM me if you need someone closer! ((hug)) Cindy
  2. Hi!

Congratulations! 60 lbs! That's fantastic! Welcome to the boards! Cindy
  3. I also suggest Ebay...I have purchased lots of things and have only had a little problem one time! Check the feedback for sure! If they are over 98%, I feel very confident. There's also a way to send the seller a question, so if you are not sure of sizing or measurements, just ask! The one caution: you cannot get a refund if you just don't like or it doesn't fit. It is an auction, not a garage sale! That said, I have bought some way cute things from sellers on Ebay...and check out Ebay stores, too...several specialize in plus sizes. I do alot of internet shopping, and always check out my favorite stores' "outlet" or "sale" sections! What a great problem to have! Congratulations on your superb weight loss! Cindy
  4. I'll join in! I really am still on my honeymoon (9 days now!), so my goal is to make the best of it! I'm recording everything on fitday.com....it took a minute to figure out how to adjust the serving sizes, but I've got it now. August is the beginning of the school year for me, too...so a great time to get in on the August committment! Cindy
  5. I"m adding an "I" to the beginning, because there were only 4 letters... I might regret getting pretty. YKAHN
  6. Dogs....if I HAVE to choose1 I have three of each! sunrise or sunset?
  7. Cold! You can put stuff on, but there's a limit to what I'll take off (orhwat anyone would want me to!) I love chilly mornings, sunny, crisp...of course, I live in Texas, where winter is one week in February! dye or natural? (hair)
  8. I hated those gas pains, I swear, they were the WORST! It will soon be a distant memory,a nd you'll be on to your great adventure with the band! Take care, Cindy
  9. Chicago is getting some good representation on here! Welcome, and glad you're here! Cindy
  10. I"ll add my congrats and hope you are feeling better and better...it's just been a week for me, and I feel great! Take care, Cindy
  11. Thanks you, thank you, thank you! You are an incredible inspiration to me, as a one week old newbie bander! I love my band already, and can see how you can use it or blow it. I'm proud of you for using it, to such great effect! Congratulations, and happy anniversary! Cindy
  12. Thanks for the trial testing, and letting us know they are good!
  13. I did not have to have upper/lower GI. I had a chest X-ray, lots of different blood tests...didn't even have to have a psych eval, sleep anea test or nothin'! I told ya I was easy to approve!
  14. Thanks for asking this question! I was going to ask the same one tonight...It's been exactly one week, and I want that sticky stuff off! It itches! Thanks, Cindy
  15. Hi, Mandy, so sorry you had a complication, but it sounds like the dr. played it cautious and made sure you were okay. That's a good thing. Please take good care of yourself, and hey! You're a bandie now! Hugs, Cindy
  16. You KNOW I'm going to throw Disney World out there ...there's so much to do there, and the atmosphere is so much fun! If you want to plan a trip that way go to www.allearsnet.com for all the info you could ever want! And lots and lots of pictures!
  17. I haven't seen the video yet, but will...I did get pictures of my surgery, and let me tell ya, the doc can tell if you have followed your pre-op diet by the looks of your liver. I am sure glad I followed it, because a picture is worth a thousand words! I had him explain each picture today, and it was really interesting. Now, I'll check out the cool video!
  18. Now you're talking about the 80's bands...love those! I just made my husband a CD full of Def Leppard, Quiet Riot, Loverboy, Judas Priest, etc....even my little 7 year old daughter likes it, when she's not jamming out to Hillary Duff! Also, I love the New Wave stuff- all of it. Music in general is a big love of mine, although we don't go to many concerts now...we just pick maybe one big one a year that we really want to see. Then we laugh at ourselves and others, and kid about people still smoking you-know-what and waving their canes in the air, and taking Celebrex because they boogied so much! We have a great time!
  19. Thanks for starting this thread...I've been giving this some thought, but haven't really made up my mind, so all the good ideas are helping me out! I enjoy some time alone to do my little hobbies, so maybe I'll ask hubby to take the DD out somewhere and give me some "me" time at home...yeah, that would be great...Spa treatments are fantastic, too, and I still have my mother's day gift certificates to a nice one. Let's hear some more ideas! Cindy
  20. I only have today to judge by, because it's my first day of mushy food. I had 1/4 cup, or 1/6 of a Stouffer's spinach souffle, and my stomach hurts a little. I think it was about 2 Tablespoons, which took me about 10 bites to finish. Is that about right? I know I stopped in time to avoid being sick, but I felt a lot hungrier than that! I don't have a fill, either. Cindy
  21. I just want to add my congratulations and admiration! Blessings, Cindy
  22. Went to my dr. appt. today, and got the great news that I have lost 16 pounds since July 13 (consultation)! OMG! Now, I do expect that to taper off a little, of course, but it's a great jump start. AND, I am approved to go on to the mushy food, since I have done well on full liquids and have had no nausea. So I tested it gently with Cup-a-Soup, cream of chicken for lunch. I am really looking forward to Stouffer's spinach souffle for dinner. So, all steristrips are off, the port is where it should be, I'm moving along, and I'M SOOOO HAPPY! I just want to thank all of you who have made this beginning of the journey so much more fun and so much easier! I want to hear from other newbie banders, and find out how they are doing, too! Cindy:D
  23. Good luck! Check in when you get home, or the next day! Blessings, Cindy
  24. Good luck! Welcome to bandlandia! Cindy
  25. Welcome! This is a great place!
