I made it through

Well I had my surgery Friday morning and am now home. Sore but the pain is bearable. Now the journey truly begins! Thanks to everyone who had been keeping me in their thoughts and prayers.

I am new to this site. I am awaiting insurance approval for my lapband surgery. I needed 2 years of previous medical history in order for approval. I know that it will be approved but the waiting is so unbearable. I have read all of your inspirational stories. I just want to be able to live life without high blood pressure and have energy to do the "normal things" in life. Thanks for posting your stories they help more than you know. I am proud of all of you and I don't even know you! Lol

Congrats Pam! Keep us all posted on how it goes these first few weeks. :P

Banded on Monday, home on Tuesday fully recovered on Friday, looking forward to work on Monday :P

I was amazed at how easy the whole ordeal was, I am gratefull for all the info on these forums, they made my decision to band easy.

congratulations Nigel!!!

you are all making this sound likes it really easy with a speedy recovery....this is making me feel betta as i will be getting banded soon

Congrats new bandsters, I will be banded on wednesday. Its good to hear

your stories of a successful surgery and somewhat easy recovery. I'm

terrified will not have such a smooth recovery. I feel fine now I'm afraid

I will have caused myself to now live a life of problems. I know there are

more success stories than not but I seem to focus on the negative ones

thinking that will be my luck. Trying to be more positive. It helps to hear

your stories of success.

I am feeling alot better today. My gas has started and I just let her rip! I spent the night in the recliner and slept most of the night, got up once to use the bathroom and take some pain medication. Still not hungry but am doing the full liquid diet. Last night I had cream of chicken soup strained, sugar free jello, and apple juice for supper, along with a Gas X and my Optisource Multivitamin. Congrats to you Nigel and all the other folks recently banded or are waiting to be banded. :P
