Have a great time Kathy...I am so jealous. I am ready for a vacation. Maybe soon. We will miss you but we will try to hang on without you... FYI...if it's raining and you need a fix, the libaraies have internet access. You can always get your LBT that way.
  7. Ok Melissa you will have to put a pic out here so we can see it....Good Luck monday...hopefully it want be to bad since you know what to expect...if you want to meet me at the sale let me know and we can meet there...whoever gets there first can get in line. The last few times, my mother in law has gotten there before me which was good.
  8. Angie...looks like you have a great time. I have never gone camping in my life either. I could do it I think with a camper...I think. Hope your doing well....
  9. Hey Dianne, Congrats...I know you have to excited. When Bobbi calls you to set up the surgery date, you will get 2 appts, a pre-op and post op appt. So yes you will see him again before the surgery. I actually saw him and his assistant durning my pre op appt. Be prepared to be there awhile, my pre op appt was @ 10:00 and it was @ 12:30 when I got out of there. I am sure it should take that long all the time but just be prepared. I had my husband with me. I actually talked to Bobbie yesterday, becasue I was suppose to be scheduled for my fill by now and I hadn't heard from her. Dr V's other nurse is on vacation so she hasn't been able to schdulel anything. She said she should be back monday. Hopefully you will get a call very soon. I would call her if you haven't heard from her by friday. I have her number if you don't have it... Good Luck....keep us posted!!!! Hang in the Melissa....

  12. I am right there with you...I can't seem to get satified this week AT ALL. It's killing me. I have been doing so good and things I know I shouldn't pick up I do. Oh when will it be over....today should be it at least I hope..this is the longest one ever. I am so glad to know there are others going through this. I was suppose to be schedule for my fill last week but the nurse forgot about me so hopefully it will be next week and not a day to soon.
  13. Well I was thinking the same thing. Good luck...you have such a good outlook that is will approved before you know it. Hopefully you will be close to having a date if not having one when we meet the end of month. I have talked to a couple of people from another web site and have told them to feel free to join us. I told them they could get the details from here or if I have their email, I have just let them know. Hope everyone is doing well...Oh my sister had a baby monday. I will have get pictures. 15. I love my magic bullet but this might be what I need at work. I love a shake in the morning but I don't have time in the morning to get to it. I will have to go and check it out. Thanks for the info!!!My Fav: Choclate Protien mixed with Milk, 3 strawberries, sm banana, some crushed pineapple...yummy.
  16. I am the 70 - 80 grams of Protein first with a fruit or veggie. That is what ever meal should consist of for me. I was told to keep my caloires down to @ 1200 a day. Most days I am good with that...the last few not so good, but today is better. I do make sure I write EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth down. I try to log everything onto to fitday.com but if I don't get there I have my pad of paper that I use everyday. Everyone is so different...this is what I was told and so far it's working for me. Good Luck.
  17. I was scared...but I am so glad I went through with it. The 40 pounds lost in just 6 short weeks have been wonderful. I can tell a difference in my clothes already. I agree with vinesqueen my only regret is not getting not getting it done sooner. In the 6 weeks I think I have Pbed 4 - 5 times. It's not bad but as soon as it goes down you know you have chewed enough. Once was out at a restuarant and I just went to the bathroom and I was fine. I think this site will be encourgement enough for you....after the surgey you will wonder why you so scared...I know I did. Good Luck!!! Welcome to Bandland..I think it's the best.
  18. I started at 317, now it's just be been 6 weeks and I have lost 40 pounds. I didn't ever think I would see the day that I would see 250 again...that is my first mini goal. I have started the water aerobics at the YMCA and I love them. Right now that is all I feel comfortable with...one day maybe I will venture up to the cardio area and weights...
  19. I am so glad I am not alone...She came saturday and it seems I can't get enough in me. I feel I am eating all the time..and with no fill it's even worse because it seems everything goes down with no problems. I felt really good and I had been doing really good until this week..it's killing me. Oh well I guess it's just nature and there is nothing I can do about it.
  20. Best of Luck..this will be such an exciting time in your life. My lil sister just had a 8 pound 10 oz baby girl yesterday. So I just over come with baby news. We are hoping next year for us...and I thik ya'll be the first to know aslo. :banana
  21. Ok non band related...my sister is headed to the hospital. I am so excited it's her first and my little one isn't so little anymore. So maybe that will give me my baby fix. I just wanted to share my excitement. Being an Aunt for the first time..wow I think I might like it better then having my own. haha. Now I have someone to spoil and send home. (payback time..hehe.) I will try to post a picture..soon!!!
  22. I was 277 this morning...feeling good but know I could have done better. Maybe it was that cake on saturday??? But it was good. Or Aunt Flo is here for a visit...can't she just stay away. hehe Congrats to everyone....Keep up the good work!!!
  23. I actually have a friend that had the by-pass Feb 22 and has lost 100 pounds. Which is great for her. I on the other hand valued my life to much. When I was doing my research I read several surveys that were done comparing a by-pass and lap-band at the end of 2 years the lap-band was still lossing weight or maintaining while most by-pass patients had stopped loosing and some were actually gaining. My aunt had it done over 2 years ago and she has already started gaining weight back (15 - 20 pounds) Now I am not saying you can't or you want with the band it's possible. My thinking was if I have to work harder to take it off, then my life choices will be better in the long run. So for me, if I couldn't have had the lap band then I wasn't going to have surgery. I wouldn't take it back for the world...I think you are doing great...stay strong and just keep working at it. The "compare in two years" - that is exactly what I would do if I were you.
  24. Yes that is true. My doctor is one that requires it before, I was told it was to help shrinken the liver so the surgery will be easier for the doctor. It actually wasn't that bad...I will say it was alot easier at work then home and weekends.
