  1. Hey all...I have a question.. I use to never get my monthly until I was on birth control. Which I hear can be typical for a person overweight. Well I came off the pill for surgery plus I had some other things going one and the dr wanted me to come off for a few months. So here is the problem. I am getting my monthly every other week. Really every other Saturday it starts....Like clockwork and it is lasting 5 - 8 days just in time for me start back. What is wrong with me? Has anyone else had this happen to them? I go the OB on thursday not sure if he can tell me or not.. Help...this is getting old!!!!
  2. Alright...I was doing very good this week until I went to Ohio to visit my best friend...lets just say I gained everything I had lost last week except for 1 little ol pound. Hey I am thankful for that pound...Until next week!!!! Hope Everyone has a great week!!!
  3. Oh Starr that is wonderful...I know you are excited. That letter should be coming soon. That is great...YEAH.... Melissa, you are so right. That is the same thing that happened to me. Once I didn't try to push it along it seemed to go well for me. Hang in there.. I am so excited about seeing everyone....
  4. Hey Dianne, As you can tell I didn't have any luck getting anything for you. Sorry. Glad to see that you were able to get on another way. Hopefully one day the email will come to you. I am so ready for Saturday....I can't wait to meet everyone that wasn't able to join us last month....
  5. Hey everyone - Dianne (sunset) is having problems getting her password sent to her. She wanted to let everyone know that she was coming and she will see us all next saturday!!! Melisaa it's good to see you lurking around again!!!
  6. I to was logged off, luckly I am fairly new and remembered my password. Ok this is SUNSET - she called me tonight and is upset she can't get on either. She has requested her password and it isn't being sent to her. She is upset and misses her "Lapband" fix for the day.
  7. The one thing that helps me is write everything down with the calories. I mean every little bite of everything. It's the only way I know I am staying within my 1000 calories a day. I also think if you are able to eat all of that in a day you really might not have the right restriction. Have you been back to the doctor? I second the eat more protien, I focus all my meals around protien first then a fruit or a veggie. I only snack once a day and that's in the afternoon and it's useally a low fat string cheese or unsweetened applesauce or SF Jello or Pudding. Hope this helps some...I know it's hard but being accountable for everything I put in my mouth really helps me.
  8. Mae, Can you use skim milk instead of the soy milk? Does it give the soup/ pudding a different taste? I have never used soy milk and was just wondering. Thanks!!!
  9. Hang in there, it really does get better. I am 9 weeks post op and I feel great. The weight loss is worth all you are going through. I to had the same "run" problem you are having. It will get better it does just take awhile. Hey that only helps with the weight loss. I second Kathy on the egg drop soup, actually I muffinburdie posted a homemade version of it on here. I printed and plan to make it. Soup is liquid, not sure why you can't have the SF Jello that is clear liquids, I would think. Hang in there...it will all be worth it. I promise!!!
  10. Welcome...hope you find this site as supportive and usefull as I have. I don't know your Dr but welcome. I am sure someone on here knows or has even used them.
  11. Welcome...the wait is the worest but it's well worth it. Hang in there and good luck. This place is great for support and knowledge!!!

  15. Alright finally got the scale moving a little bit...down 2 pounds this week. Thanks to the fill on Tuesday but no thanks to the family reunion we had saturday I could have lost more. Some how that lemon cake made it on my plate and I just couldn't let it go to waste. Maybe more this week!!!!
  16. Angie that is great....Yes please let us know how your appt goes. I can't wait to see you both....
  17. I was forced with the same problem yesterday...Krispie Kream are the best but for the first time in my life I said no thanks and went on. That was hard but well worth it...Here is NC they are available everywhere it seems. UGH!!!!

  19. We are all meeting at Rudy Tuesdays off Arrowood. Please let us know who will be joining us so we can get a head count. Also Angela from Dr. V's office will be meeting us there. (She said she has it on her calander and hopes to be there.) Alright ladies who is going to be there???? I WILL!!!! I can't wait!!!!
  20. I agree wait for a little while and let the stomach heal and then go with a larger band. I know several poeple with the RNY and know they wish they would have gone with the band. I have also know one person lost their life due to complications with it. Please be careful your SIL will be in my thoughts.
  21. Hang in there...It looks like you are doing great. I know it's hard I to have suffered from the same thing. What works best for me: a journal. I write down everything that goes in my mouth and up the calories at the end of the day. Trying to stay @ 1000 calories a day. If I think I want write it down even if it's just a bite I want put it in my mouth. I also eat off a saucer, put my 3 - 4 oz of protien and a fruit or a veggie on there and thats it. If I am still hungrey then I will grab a few more oz of protien (normally chicken or fish) and that will normally do the trick for me. I hope this helps. I have learned being on here that everyone is so different so you will just have to see what works for you. Good Luck and really I think your doing a great job don't be down.
  22. That is great....keep up the good work and inspire us all!!!!
  23. That is great...I know you are on cloud nine...Just imagine when you go back for your next follow up.
  24. Hey Ladies....Talked to Angela (at Dr. V's office) and has asked if it's ok to join on the 27th. I told her I didn't see a problem with it. Is it alright? Bring questions or ideas because she will there for us. Do you think Ruby Tuesdays can handle all of us? Should we start a new thread closer to time so others can read about it. Like Star, I don't know if she is apart of this thread and she may not get this. Hope everyone is having a Happy Thursday!!!!
  25. Got mine yesterday...tried a couple of the nacho flavored and they were really good. Thanks...
