Hi everybody, new poster in Dallas, Texas. I am a 40 year old mother of two. An 8 year old going on 18 year old girl and a 2 year old boy who rules the house with one iron fist and sucks the thumb of the other. :-) Today I weigh 270 and am looking for approval for my band surgery very soon. I have a wonderful supportive husband. I even think our Boxer, Casey is supporting me. The 3 cats and two turtles could care less...as long as I keep coming with the food. This is a wonderful forum and I am going to be one of the losers on here pretty soon!

good luck! I had my surgery a couple of weeks ago, the only regret is that i didn't do it sooner. Your house sounds like mine with the animals!! They do provide comfort the days following the surgery. The boxer will love the long walks you will be taking her on to get you exerice.

I am waiting for approval from my insurance company as well. I do have a surgery date scheduled. I hope all goes well! I'm looking forward to the surgery, it can't come soon enough!
