  1. Hey! I like this blocking feature! Now that I figured out how to do it.
  2. Hope they're wrong, and you just get a little. Maybe it'll all blow out to sea
  3. Wow, wow and wow. What is with the hostility on this tread? We are all friends and supporters of each other. No need for that.
  4. @@LipstickLady you know I'm fine with your posts. No worries here.
  5. YAY!! Congrats to you two! my 1st appt at the bariatric center is tomorrow. Hoping to schedule the 3 appts I need prior to approval this week, and get a date in Feb!!
  6. I love my vitamixer! I got mine a few years ago for Mothers day from my wonderful hubs. Love love love it! pureeing ANYTHING and making HOT Soup in the blender is a wonderful thing! Costo has them sometimes.
  7. I did have to go on estrogen when I had my total hyster, so I know I'll have to stop it prior to and for a while after bariatric surgery. I've never had the emotional thing, or the hot flash thing, but I did gain the weight right after the hyster 20 years ago, and haven't been able to get it off to stay. So, I'm assuming I will go through menopause at the same time I am sleeved. That is a scary thought. Maybe I should stay somewhere else so my hubs doesn't throw me out!
  8. Thank you!! I think I'm going to be scheduling mine for next week. I won't sweat it now.
  9. I know people who didn't lose hair at all. Good genes probably. That and the protein/vitamin thing.
  10. Ok, this interests me too. I had a hysterectomy about 20 years go. So would love to hear some feedback.

  12. I started Biotin 4 years ago when I started growing out my hair and I have not missed a day. That and zinc. I'm not too worried. If it sheds, it sheds. It will grow back in while I am getting healthy!
  13. some folks say the 1 or 2 weeks of liquid diet prior to surgery is your bowel prep.
  14. different parts of the year I shed at least that much, and I have not had the surgery yet. That looks almost normal to me. I doubt I go short. It took me 4 years to grow out a pixie cut, and I'll never do that again! But I have no idea what I will look like thinner, so I may consider bangs or a nice layered cut, but keep the length. My friends who have had the surgery say their hair did thin some, but not enough for anyone but them to notice.
  15. Did you get the anti blood clot shots to give yourself at home? Lenovox?? And stay off the scale!! Give yourself a break, and heal a minute!! Glad you're ok. I hope to join you on the losers bench soon.
  16. I gained too. But then I found out they dropped the requirement, so no worries for me. You, however might want to do what I did on the month after I had a gain. I did a week of high Protein, no bread or sugar, and I dropped 10 pounds in 10 days, and went back to the Dr and had them document that weight instead. Of course I wasn't able to KEEP it off, but it showed I was trying. I think the diet is just a silly hoop. Just do your best.
  17. Raspberries just aren't quite the visual as the fleas.
  18. @@Elode that made me laugh OUT LOUD! FLEAS?!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! I have some Chia seeds too. I dunno, I think there are some recipes where you can use them. But your story cracked me up!!
  19. Still waiting. Did she or didn't she?
  20. Congratulations! Have you picked a date yet?
  21. @@LipstickLady I cannot WAIT for the day I am a smug skinny chick. YOU are my hero! (one of many on here, but still my HERO)
  22. Seriously! It's every single commercial!! If it's not about a diet center, it's about a diet supplement, or a super duper magic somethingerother, where if you BUY into it, you'll lose massive amounts of weight....GUARANTEED!!!! I'm thinking about quitting TV and just sticking with Netflix. The commercials just make me mad. They RUINED me. Those diet centers did. They made me yo-yo for 30 years. GRRR Ok, I'm done now. Thanks for letting me vent.
