POLL: How true did you follow the pre-op liquid diet?
Pre op liquid diet was so rough! I was allowed 2 servings of broth a day and unlimited water and sugar free jello .... I did not cheat but I often went to bed very early because every night around 6 pm I was starving... I was so glad when surgery day rolled around so I wouldn't feel hungry anymore

You can do anything you set your mind to - I am a mother of four and my husband left 3 weeks before my vsg surgery - I have done fine and I am doing this for me not for him - i am now 4 weeks post op- you can do it!

On the other side . . . .
Finally I am on the users bench. I never thought this day would get here. I started my vertcal sleeve journey 6 months ago to satisfy my insurance company requirements - cigna Surgery was Monday at noon surgery went great the surgeon said. I am not gonna lie I hurt very bad for text 4 hours after surgery. But then the pain subsided - i just had more pressure. Fast forward to this Morin and I'm walking these hall over and over and even took a bath. No more pain at all. I am getting released to go home at noon. I am so excited for this new chapter in my life. I wish everyone a safe and fast recovery of their own!
