Mrs.Fox reacted to Sleeveless in seattle in DAMN!
I'm almost 3 months out. When I just have to have pizza, I eat the toppings only. Didn't try it until 2-1/2 months. Figured it would be fine since I eat melted cheese w/ Tomato sauce and cottage cheese as a snack anyways. It will be an every once in a while thing for me but I'm very pleased that I get full off the toppings of one slice.

I'm only 3 weeks post op, but I have noticed major differences in my life.
I've already lost 25 lbs.
my knees are not in constant pain any longer
My back isn't in pain anymore
And I no longer sweat like a pig when I'm cleaning my house.
Those few things alone, have made the surgery worth having!

I know exactly how you feel trust me. All the Protein powders made me sick after surgery. I had to literally gag them down. I did find however that I can tolerate Ensure High Protein. There's 210 calories and 25g of protein in a 14 oz bottle so when I was at your stage I still had to split it up. Drink half and then finish it by the end of the day. I still can't drink the full bottle at one sitting but I can do it with in a couple hour period. I substitute it for my Breakfast every morning. You can also try the unflavored powder mixed in with a smoothie, scrambled egg, Soup, etc. Hang in there though it'll get better I promise. I'm 3 1/2 months out and finally enjoying my sleeve

Mrs.Fox reacted to hmk715 in Post-op update and photo(s) :)
So I'm 4 weeks post-op and I'm feeling great. I had a crazy, busy, fun weekend with a big family dinner to Celebrate multiple birthdays and then a wedding. I felt fabulous, I looked fabulous. I had some pain eating a little bit - not chewing enough, trying some new things - but I was able to walk it off and I danced my behind off at the wedding. I received so many compliments on my dress, on how I looked and everyone just said I glowed. It was pretty wonderful.
Here is a little before and after photo. The green dress is from June 2013 at my highest weight of 301. The black dress is from last night, 60 pounds lighter. (30 pre-op, 30 post-op) I love the transformation so far and can't wait to take more pictures - and I never recall saying that before haha
There are more before and after photos on my profile. Feel free to take a peak!!
All the best,
Hana

i dont think you are getting in all your protein. if you are getting in 60 grams of protein, i am guessing you wont be hungry. you should be aiming for 64 ounces of Water too. i would avoid potatoes until you are able to get in all your protein. when you can get in your water and protein, you will feel full.

Mrs.Fox got a reaction from SweetCryss in Nerves in full effect. 3 days until surgery.
I totally know how you feel. I was sleeved on 4/25/14 and 7 days before my procedure my anxiety started going crazy. I couldn't sleep, I was moody & I began to fear the same surgery that I'd been looking forward to for months. I also had a large hernia that I was scared wld cause a problem. I would stay up all night imagining all the things that could go wrong & try to predict how I would be feeling when I awoke from anesthesia..
Try to pray/meditate. Bc the worrying & anxiousness will only rob you of the true excitement of your new Beginning❤️❤️.

Mrs.Fox got a reaction from peteyrulz in 5 days out... too nervous?
Hi! I felt the same kind of paranoia as you. I was sleeved on 4/25/14 & tried to force my Fluid intake. Don't do it. Be kind to yourself. During my first week, my goal was to drink a 20 ounce bottle of Water everyday & at least half of my Protein shake (8 once bottle) . Now at almost 3 weeks post op, I'm drinking 2 20 ounce bottles a day & a full 8 ounce shake.... Bc that's all I can do.
I also remember feeling like I was going to pop after a bowl of broth... Lol, sounds to me like you are right on track. ❤️❤️

Mrs.Fox reacted to Who Dat 70461 in Working Out
I started walking two days post op, albeit short distances. After about 2 weeks, I was walking and biking for 30-40 minutes a day. Added swimming as soon as the wounds healed (think it was at 8 weeks or so, can't remember).
Wasn't cleared for weights until about 16 weeks and then it was moderate, nothing too strenuous. At 20 weeks, I started hitting the weights aggressively and haven't looked back!
