Goal weight and family negative family members
The one thing I have noticed since I've been losing weight is the "heavy" friends will not comment on how good I look, or how I'm losing weight or anything. Yup, pure jealousy. Keep going, get to your goal weight and shrug off those who are envious or jealous -- don't let them get a rise out of you, no matter who they are.

First bad meal post op!
It's super NORMAL to think that way, and wonder when and if you'll be able to eat your favorite "bad" foods.... It depressed me thinking I would forever be unable to enjoy those, but 5 months later I can honestly tell you, you WILL enjoy those, and like Gummy said, in moderation. It's not like you'll be able to eat an ENTIRE huge burger anyway. I ate a little slider about 1 month out. I treated myself then worked out like crazy because I didn't want to take a chance on gaining any weight -- which of course I did not. Once the weight starts melting off -- and it WILL, you'll want to follow a healthy regimen and stay on track so more weight will come down till you hit your goal. My food-obsessive mine changed immediately after surgery. I am so focused now on how good I feel, how good they tell me I look that eating "bad" foods doesn't really thrill me anymore. You'll be just fine, you'll LOVE the effects of WLS and how amazingly good and healthy you feel. Good Luck!

Favorite foods post op?
Once you lose a good amount of weight, I don't see why you wouldn't eat a sandwich. However, it might be half of your sandwich, as you'll be full. I am 5 months out now and eat almost everything -- but in moderation. I am really good all week long and on weekends I splurge now and then with bits of my favorite foods, in moderation. It's great!

Feeling so discouraged
Agree 100% with Kamp above. CHANGE YOUR DOCTOR! WLS will cure ALL of your symptoms/ailness above mentioned. What's wrong with him?? Ugh. Don't get discouraged, go see another doctor, stay positive and go ahead with your WLS for your health! Good Luck!

Am I the only one with Diarrhea?
I too had the runs for about 2 weeks post surgery, it's normal and enjoy the "cleanliness from within" as once you start eating, going to the potty won't be as frequent lol. As for the gas, walk walk walk, it's the only thing that truly helps. Good luck, it does get better!!!!!

About me (11months post op)----with photos
You look amazingly beautiful and there is nothing big about you. But down 65 lbs, I understand, I still feel like the big girl here, regardless of people telling me how amazing and slim I look. Congrats, keep up the good work!!! Don't fret about the other mini lbs you have to go, they will go down eventually. Hey, you've come a loooooong way so embrace it!

Im considering surgery-do you regret it?
MY ONLY regret is not having it done sooner. I LOVE it! I have now acquired a new weight, a new body, a new self-esteems, not to mention an entirely NEW wardrobe! LOL! I was feeling so bad - always tired and blah. Now I am energized, feel beautiful and love the healthy new me! It's a huge choice, and very personal. Do a lot of reseach, ask a lot of questions and IF you decide this is for you, I guarantee you'll be very happy you did! Good Luck!
