  1. Same here, 4 weeks also and no change on my scale after the 3rd week, now this week it went down 3 lbs. We'll have stalls, I've taken the advise of many and will not go on my scale for a while now, however I can tell on my clothes that I am in fact losing. Good Luck... let's not get discouraged and follow our doctors order for success!
  2. Of course Heatlhy I'm only 4 weeks out and I already snag --- but only a morael
  3. Congrats to both! My 1-month Anniversary is next Thursday. So far I'm down 15 lbs but I don't trust my home scale, will know exactly how much when I go to my doctor on the date of my 1-month anniv. Can't wait. I too wish I would have lost more but am happy, cause at least I'm losing....
  4. Hey friends...thanks for these posts, I'm 3 weeks out (sleeved 5/5) and lost 10 lbs the first week and now 2 weeks later my scale looks the same!!! Ugh!! Sooo frustrating! It makes me feel better to know I'm not alone, thank you!!
  5. NJ Kelly: I've had no nausea but had PLENTY of it when I was pregnant (LOL -- I know you're a guy and can't relate but maybe this will help) the only thing that helped me was chewing on ice chips. It was my miracle worker. Try it, hopefully it'll help. Also maybe your tummy is too empty? Try increasing your calories, I know, easier said than done when you're nauseaus. Good Luck! Feel better!!
  6. Thank you ALL for your updates, love it!!! As for my post-op update Lora, I walked 2 hours after surgery, then made a point to walk every 3 hours or so while in the hospital. I really was not in much pain at all, my incisions were a little sore but I didn't have to use any pain meds! Once home, the gas and bloating was uncomfortable but gas X and walking helped, the walking more than anything!! I drank my protein shakes very slowly, sips of water too, sugar free pops and sugar free jello. I honestly began to feel beter on day 4, and much better on day 7! I slept on a recliner the first 2 days then propped up with pillows till 3 days ago. Now I sleep normaly, even on my side!! I started pureeds 2 days ago, including oatmeal and had an egg yesterday, no issues and I walk immediately after eating! My best advise Lora is walk walk walk and patience, first 3 -5 days are a bit rough but nothing unbearable. Good Luck!!
  7. I was sleeved 2 weeks ago tom (5/5), just want to give my update, mostly hoping to catch up with peeps who were sleeved on or about 5/5. Thankfully, I am happy to report I am feeling pretty good!! Began my pureeds about 2 days ago and so far, so good. Tonight I just had a small piece of grilled fish filet and a 1/2 teaspoon of mashed sweet potato, then went for a 30 minute walk and feel great! Trying to stay hydrated is hard because I forget so trying to increase that. Taking all my chewable vitamins and walking. I've slept a full 8 hours for the past 2 nights which is wonderful! I'm still not working, another 2 weeks, I need to feel 100% great and make sure I go into a regular diet by then, in very small portions of course! Hope my early May peeps are all doing well, feel free to chime in and tell us how you are doing. Have a great week everyone, God Bless!!
  8. Can't stress enough --- Walk Walk Walk Walk! I'm 2 weeks out tomorrow and feel great, I walk religiously every 2 hours, even at night. More than anything after eating! I guarantee it will help tremendously!! Walk Walk Walk Walk!!!
  9. Hi there, I doubt strongly you made yourself leak sweety, walk it off right now. Just walk, feel the gases come out and I guarantee you'll feel better really soon! Good luck!!!!
  10. I was sleeved on 5/5. I slept on a recliner the 1st night home, then from then on I sleep propped up with pillows on my bed, partially turned on my left side with one of my daughter's stuffed animal under my face to accomodate my head. Hey, it works for me I haven't been able to sleep thru the night yet though, but only wake up once due to gas.
  11. Thank you for all your input!!! I just went for my post-op checkup and I lost 10lbs since surgery (7days)! I'm "VERY" happy!!!!!!! ????

  13. Thank you everyone! I'll let you know how I did tomorrow afternoon! @ Amy, yes you are correct, our current weight def has to do with how much we can lose, thank you.
  14. Sorry gentlemen but guys weight loss amounts are wayyy higher than ours so keeping you out of this one lol! Anyway, ladies, how much weight did you lose your first week post-op? I go to my first doc appointment after my surgery last Monday and hope I lost at least 6 lbs! Is this realistic??
  15. Wow.... This is so theraputic! I sincerely thank all on here for your openess... Good Luck to us all and let's try to focus on how not only fitter, pretier but healthier we will be when we have these low moments. God Bless our strength and help us dominate those down times. Love you guys....
  16. Great response Michelle, I too am 7 days post op and yes day 5 you feel good but day you feel reaaly good, thank God!
  17. Hey gcaro, it does get better, be patient. I guarantee you by tomorrow the bloating will be less so that alone is a huge releif! For me the "turning the corner day" of feeling MUCH better was day 5! Hang in there, walk walk walk!
  18. Hi K! Congrats! I was sleeved 5/5 and can relate to your entire post feeling the same symptoms! I haven't walked a mile but do walk about 1/4 mile every two hours or so, sometimes even in the middle of the night. My latest issue was the mental challenge earlier today as my family sat to eat dinner. I stayed in my bedroom, however my mind kept wandering, visioning their meal . I even felt hungry, it was very hard but I overcame it. Tomorrow's another day . Good luck, I hope you continue to feel better each day! God bless us May Sleevers!! ❤️
  19. Thanks for your honest reply Josh, OK its nirmal then.
  20. I was sleeved last Monday (5/5) and starting to actually feel hunger. Is this a mental thing or is it normal? I'm on the clear liquids diet and my family ordered food today for Mother's Day. I stayed in my bedroom so didn't see it or smell it but it was sooooo tough knowing they were in the dining room eating Outback! This mental challenge is hard!!! . Anybody else has had mental challenges so early on?
  21. Congrats! You look terrific !
  22. Same here CSW, sleeved in Monday, my doc has me only on protein shakes and clear liquids. The bloating and gas is awful -- and God knows I'm doing my walking. Yesterday I increased my protein shakes instead of broth, i take little sips at breakfast, lunch and dinnertime, then do water and SF jello in between. I def feel better after increasing my protein intake! I guess my new tummy likes the nutrition. I plan on returning to work in 3 weeks. Be well everyone, feel better soon!!!!
