  8. My insurance will not cover the surgery at all so I have to go self pay..... My heart is broken.... My husband and I have talked and we actually just bought a new double wide home a year ago and we could use it as collateral to get a loan but man.... Makes it so much harder financially... So now I have a question... Approximately how did it cost for after surgery needs for everyone???? And do u think because insurance won't cover it does that mean if I have complications, will insurance deny any coverage for them??? My heads swimming I'm so upset...
  9. I'm just really reading these so I know what the worst is and wow, they do cause me to pause but then I read all the positive things and think, how often do these things actually happen??? Does anyone know a good number to put on the percentage of people that go thru this??? And how would you know if you were higher risk to have these things happen??? Did any of your surgeons warn you that you were higher risk for these type of complications???
  10. I won't miss sticking a needle in my stomach and injecting something that could possibly cause cancer into my body!!! Bruises are a normal thing to my stomach and my fingers can get feeling back into them after poking needles into them several times a day!!!!
  11. I so understand you I watched and took care of my own mom when died of heart failure, but truth is she died from diabetes, she was in heart failure, kidney failure, neuropathy, blind, copd when she died it was absolutely the worse thing I have ever witnessed, diabetes kills slowly and it takes away everything that brings us joy in our lives!!! I hate it!!! I am also just beginning, researching ect. My surgeon hasn't seen me yet but is already working with my insurance trying times get them to approve at least my initial visit with him, so I completely understand where u r coming from... I've had bad feedback so far from my regular doctors but I still thru that believe that the sleeve could literally save my life, I see it as almost a life vest, uncomfortable, yeah a little, life changing, yes a lot, but life saving, yes!!! I wish you the best of luck, and let us know where u progress from, and where at r u during your journey???
