  1. Good luck to you Julie! Great and perfect timing for you. They won't recognize you when you return.
  2. Am only 5 days post op and pretty happy so far. Am down about 25 pounds from my high weight between pre op diet and the surgey
  3. Had the sleeve on Tuesday and have been having severe acid today a little yesterday I am on omeprazple but not seeing much of a difference. I thought it came on yesterday because I took it late almost noon
  4. No catheter here but completely nude Bed pan was an experience I don't want to repeat anytime soon
  5. They could be wanting to discuss your portion of the costs. Such as copays, coinsurance a, deductibles. Or they could be out of network and want the difference between what the insurance approves and their charge (only applies to out of network docs)
  6. I did the sleeve as I didn't want my intestines to be affected. What did your surgeons suggest?
  7. Feel great but have been feeling a lot of acid today. I am on Prilosec once a day. Took a tums earlier with no affect. Ate a couple bites of yogurt made it feel a little better temporarily but it's back. Any suggestions?
  8. I had surgery same day as well and haven't moved yet either. I was wondering name thing
  9. Awesome I did one shake yesterday and managed 6 ounces over 4 hours Today was 4 ounces over 3 hours Will do another one later
  10. Did I say 4-5? I said not so much as 25 as it is here in nj And they're not bad docs prices for healthcare are greater on the coasts less in south and Midwest
  11. Day 5 and am occasionally feeling pain. Trying to limit the hydrochodone
  12. I use a fitbit as well but I follow my doc and nut plan on what i should eat and not paying attention to calories and intake other than Protein Remember that your fitbit doesn't know your personal situation ok?
  13. Gingerslim try couple of these: Tuna sushi grade on a grill 3 minutes each side should leave it raw in center Then serve over either dole asian chopped salad Or various raw julienned vegetables of your choice Ground turkey- 93%lean Brown with 2-3 cloves garlic, 1 medium yellow onion and bell pepper of your choice Drain Add tomato sauce to cover - I use 4 ounces to 1 pound Add basil, oregano, cilantro to taste Add Water about equal amount to tomato sauce Add 10-15 green olives and a little brine Simmer until liquid cooks down. About 25 minutes Serve over quinoa (back in the day I served over rice).
  14. 4 days post op and sleep with 3 pillows And do manage on one side but not for long
  15. Remember evry state bcbs is different.
  16. Metropolis and fidelis is follow income folks in NYC. So perhaps you're missing something in the explanation somewhere? Your friends did not get surgery for $150 without someone paying the surgeon the balance
  17. I don't condemn it. If it's the right decision for you. Go for it. I just don't understand it As per the other poster. I would rather search the entirety of the US and find an appropriate option here than to go outside the country. It's just not something I can relate to for me That said I want to make clear that I have a boatload of family members who have had cosmetics done in Brazil, cancer treatment in Portugal (my mom) and hip surgery is Costa Rica. It was the right decision for them based on time, expense and their mental fortitude. I also saw some complication and what they went thru to get treatment upon return. I would rather move mountains to make it happen here. That said I can't afford a sleeve in nj cash - it's $25k. But in Texas, Louisiana and other southern states or Wyoming, Nebraska not so much.
  18. Am I glad that you are not accepting of blanket praise. That is what I like to hear. May you be blessed with a great surgeon regardless of locale.
  19. Ask to work at home like I do. Give up the office crap
